TNT need to really get their act together..

Maybe buttwig is on to something........... Maybe TNT is waiting for those affected by the hurricanes to be able to return and be involved in the plot!
Welcome back buttwig and all members affected by these disasters.

It seems to me there are 4 possibilities....
1. They simply haven't finished the next phase yet, possible but unlikely.
2. They're waiting for more people to catch up. Also possible but I would have thought also unlikely as people have really had enough time to do that as they don't have to do the sand/block/furniture shifting.
3. They're waiting for us to solve something. Very possible. There are at least two outstanding mysteries - the scarabing and the chef's food supply.
4. They're giving people time to map the scrolls. Also very possible, especially with the hint "Let's see what there is to read in here" at the entrance.

One plausible next phase would be fetching a particular scroll, which would be greatly aided by a map, but not made impossible without one (I can only find 11 very rare scrolls, the rest occur by the hundred - perhaps the rare ones are worth more points?). A possible scenario would be that the repository is being used for research into how to get the city back and retrieving scrolls for that task sounds possible and certainly follows on from what we've done so far. I would guess that's going to start as soon as the chef gets his food suply (research is hungry/thirsty work!) but whether they're expecting us to solve the riddle of where the missing food is first I don't know. The task of fetching scrolls would also explain why our layouts are different - so we can't exchange info on where they are.

Edit: Does anyone think that the chef's comment "This job is boring" may be a hint as to where the food has gone?

have you looked into the possibilty of the scroll nabile read and link it to a ring as there are two rings in the story and one scroll that tells the story about them

I would like to go and look at the spinning scroll by the fortune teller but I do not know how to find the URL to the pic. Can someone tell me how?

Tribble? What's a Tribble? - oh, it's cute. I think I'll take one home :)

Thanks for all the kind words, TopsyTourny! :)

Sky, the recent ?what? have been plot related?
I don't remember there ever being a Trick or Treat spot in the LD.

Glad to hear you are safe and sound, scribe. :)

Hasn't this been a rather long wait, compared to the wait times so far? Or is it just that TNT has stretched my patience to the limit and it feels extra long? Is it just me, or does it seem like the addition of the scrolls in the repository should have been a much bigger deal? I mean, so far, we have done what amounts to NOTHING with them. Weren't they the whole point of building the dadgum pyramid in the first place - our big "plan" to save Sakhmet - find a solution in the scrolls... so we had to have a place to study them..... so we had to move sand, move blocks, wait for furniture, move furniture, wait for librarians... for what? So we can study the stupid scrolls! It just seems like there should be a way for us to do that....

Side note: The Fortune Teller's message being so far behind is really getting on my nerves.

PS. Typed this over an hour ago and evidently didn't hit Submit before being called away from the puter.

Just make the window wide and short and you'll see the spinning scroll.

I doubt it is related to the plot, but if you like the Halloween sidebar, last year you could get it permanently if you refreshed in the Haunted Woods between 11:59PM and 12:00AM NST on Halloween night, so perhaps it will be available again tonight.

I would add to that the scrolls inside the repo. and the useless crystal, as we really haven't figured out anything significant to do with them.

I hope not! I absolutely refuse any more busy work!

Yes, if we are to believe the scenarios given to us by the Lenny Conundrums, your second scenario seems plausible. I think the chef/foreman's food difficulties were a way of explaining his having the Useless Crystals to give to us. I think if there is any link between the Chef/foreman and the scrolls, it would be the useless crystal, rather than the food. In other words, I think we'd be better off pursuing the mystery of the crystal than the mystery of the food.

No, the food went somewhere and he got the crystals instead, perhaps the "This job is boring" is a hint where it went to. Assuming we are supposed to be finding it for him (and that's far from sure) then perhaps it's a Neo place/shop/whatever related to "boring"? I already looked in the carpentry shop btw!
Edit: Yes Iknow, it's scraping the barrel a bit but I'm getting desperate!
Edit2: I'd also suggest that persuing the crystal and persuing the food may be one and the same thing as presumably, the food is, where the crystal should be.

What abour this new plot? No one has mentioned it! It's getting interesting...but where are the other two rings?
Nabile ended up with one, what if she ends up wearing the other two as well??
Also, does anyone else think it's creepy that Tomos's hands are the same colors as Jazan's? And that he was holding up the ring to Nabile at the same time as Jazan is? Maybe a parallel between the two, or a relation?

We discussed the new chapter and the rings when it came out. You can find it a few splits back. But, I don't remember Nabile ending up with a ring?? Did I miss something?
Yes, the dual ring images were kewl and it does sound like there is a relationship between them, based on the inclusion of them both in the text that Nabile was reading.

Man I haven't posted here since the block moving started because the boards got really chaotic. Anyways, this plot is dragging on way too long, another 10 days without a new part of the puzzle.

Sigh...

Hey, folks, I don't think this is plot related, but it's kinda cool. If you bring up the spinning scroll/fortune teller image, size the window just right, and slightly cross your eyes, the spinning scroll seems to move inside the fortune teller's crystal ball.

Gosh, I must be bored. We don't have any trick-or-treaters yet, either.

Oh, well. Something has to happen eventually. Happy Samhain to those that celebrate it, and Happy Halloween to everyone else!

The Repo has been updated! Go to the front of the repo, and there are interesting scroll racks!

I was about to say...where the Chef is, it says
Location: Recipe Storage, Entrees

and further on I found a room called Lost Desert Art History, Sculpture. Maybe we ought to look for something about Qasala, Jewellery (the rings?) Curses, Royalty?

Wow! The new, improved? repository looks neat. What do we do first? Compare scrolls again or explore?

Edit: On the explore note, there are bullet points next to some scrolls. What could the mean (asking w/o clue to answer, just getting it out there)?
