For any plot, we have to remember who our tormentors are. They are a website that is run by people with a vast esoteric database. Since this is a website, the info has to be out there somewhere. Since this is Neopets, they are prone to 'accidently' revealing info before it is 'officially' released. The trick is figuring out what they are going to release and when. They just had to do a plot like this right when we all are going back to school!

Ok so there has to be a way to translate them and it will be something on neopets.

The order they are in must also mean nothing :( I am quick today lol sorry was just looking through everything again.

I wouldn't say the order means nothing, not untill we're sure at least.

Is it me or is this thing taking a lot longer to get clues for the plot, I know we were getting them when we found a tablet piece but that really only let to the completed tablet, it hasn't actually got us anywhere yet :(

I might go off and check out the volcano plot stuff lol there was the fire faerie in that!

Has anyone tried reading a scroll that matches the symbol found at the statue?

Like, my riddle was to look for a red rectangle door. Found that and the statue. At the bottom of the statue was the coffee cup..

Now, i recall seeing on of the scrolls being a "red" seal with the coffee cup...

I wonder... anyone got an answer for that or we haven't tried something that simple yet?

Only difference as far as we can see is your pet 'understands' a scroll instead of just reading it

I, like most who have found the faerie statue, have tried that. You recieve a message that you pet understands the scroll (rather than the pet gains a little knowledge with other scrolls.)

Yes, I've tried reading the scroll with the same symbol as what's on the statue and nothing happens. In the forum notes, it says that the pet will now "understand" the scroll, but I don't think that is the case. Could someone confirm this? I've read the scroll three different times with the same result. I've tried it different ways and even tried re-visiting the statue. Any input would be helpful.

And im going to assume that you checked with the fortune teller as well after reading the scroll... hmm..makes me wonder since "understanding" is a little better than the normal reply...

I have posted in some thread many moons ago in split 4 ... images of "reads" vs. understands. I have only gotten the "understands" message when reading the scroll with the same symbol as was under my faerie statue.

I will find the images and put them here. (I've put them here as links to images).

Reads:
READS

Understands:
UNDERSTANDS

Are you saying *NOW* when you read the statue scroll, it doesn't do anything? Remember, we are talking about the symbol *ON* the statue ... not the symbol above the door to your statue room.

Does anyone else think we need an English professor to explain the difference between 'reads' and 'understands'? Aside from the Webster def. and the cryptic nature of the difference, I see no other connection.

I was referring to the icon at the base of the statue, not on the door. Either way, sounds like it's not the answer... just yet. Just seems weird to have this plot going and to leave everyone hanging like this.

Could someone please take a look at this link... do not have the browser page fully open, stretch it across to the left and tell me what scroll you see spinning please.

Well ... it could be a red herring ... but ...

Doesn't it seem weird that they would go to the effort of having a scroll be "understood" and having other scrolls only be "read" ?

I think the "webster" definition could be important. Obviously, we got alot more out of the scroll with the same symbol as the statue ... than we did we any other random scroll.

my 2 cents.
