1. What did you think about the split game, then merge of the sections? Do you like 1 big game of 42 better? Or should I have kept it at 21 people, 2 sepearate games?
Happy either way. However, I wasn't too keen on the merger tecnique. Two people with powers, it seemed a bit... nyeh, and eliminated the point of the two groups. They could both guess on day 1, so we'd have a 42 player game.
2. Role balance? Did it exist? There were 6/21 on each section (28.6%).
I wasn't much paying attenton, but I don't think so. You not only have to balance the number of baddies, but the number of teams. A possibility of three kills each night is 14% of the people!!
3. (To those who were evil) Were your roles balanced as powerfully as other baddies? If not, what should have been added?
Although I wasn't bad, I can answer this: You're putting too much into each role. The werewolves can put people in cages, but... why? If you get turned into a vicious werewolf at night, what are you doing locking someone in a cage, when your just a savage murderer, and would maul them... Sure, have a baddie team that can lock people in cages, but it makes no sense to have that on top of day kills.
4. Do you want an option, before the game, to give shields to thsoe who you feel have desered them?
Normally, I'd say yes. However, I think you should hand pick them rather than having PMs. I can say with all honesty that I can't see anyone more professional than anyone else, so I think that you should choose, and look back; you keep your eye out much more objectively than anyone else.
5. Secret Powers? Need 'em? Lose 'em?
Happy either way. The game is fun iwth them, but it fuinctions without as we just saw.
6. What was one problem you found this round... (and you can't answer nothing or to that effect)
Sorry, but... *sigh* I think you're trying a little bit too hard. I'm going to compare here to IDB, becuase I think the games there are brilliant. Over there, the roles are generally quite simple, and to the point. One person can do one
(Or in the case of the Pixie, 5) thing each night. Here, people have to guess a shape, and can lock someone is a box. It just seems a little too hectic...
Also, in your PMs, you have been putting a lot of more flavourful things in than funcional. For example, I'm sure I read one role with "You are experienced with working fo animals." That doesn't need to go in a role, and we should stick it in there. The storyline comes in the thread, not in oour roles PM.
7. What was the MOST ENJOYABLE part you found in this round...
Meeting lots of new people
