I thought about it, and I think that the following should be freezable accounts.

Using software to access neopets/get info/any cheating
Asking for passwords
Adult links/graphics
repeatedly bad language
repeatedly making false reports
repeatedly harassing or making threats

There may be more..

I was thinking about freezable things and apart from the ones already listed here, I cant really think of any, its a bit of a grey area.

But I think that the least TNT could do when they do freeze people is to send them an email stating that they have been frozen for whatever reason, and I dont mean the usual automated one, I mean a real email written by a real person showing exactly what they did to get frozen, if it was a report then put the full report in the email (excluding the name of the person who sent the report for obvious reasons) If it was a convo on the boards, include the convo or at least the freezable bit. At least it would give people some kind of closure and it might stop the freeze happy people because they would have to go to the trouble of writing out emails!!

I also would like to see the punishment fit the crime such as:
Flaming people on the neoboards: Banned from neoboards for so long and a sign in their userlookup saying "I think I am better than everyone else and Im a really nasty person"
Trying to steal passwords, items, np etc: A sign in their user lookup (maybe on their trades) "I am a thief, dont trust me!"
Actually stealing passwords etc: Frozen and IP banned for a certain amount of time.
Cheating on games: ALL trophies taken away from them (even the ones they didnt get caught for cheating on) All avs taken away (yes even the retired ones!!) and banned from games for a certain amount of time.
Posting chain letters: The first time they should just get a warning, then get banned from neoboards and trades for a certain amount of time.

I cant think of anything else right now.....

I think that if you are frozen, they should send a DETAILED e-mail. It can be automated and still include the quips of offending neoboard posts or neomail, how they think you cheated, glitch you seem to have taken advantage of, or usernames of the other accounts they think you have (or any other reason that may apply).

Have you noticed the big influx of new people here? Seems like there are a ton hoping to be unfrozen. Also an incease in asking for direct answers to mystery pict and lenny. It is a bit rude.

That was a bit ... strong. Especially since YOU are technically new here. I know that I have had a number of private PMs asking me to tell them the answers. I never do. I reinterate the listed clues. Sometimes I rephrase them. I try to be supportive. More than half the time I use the clues myself. I guess I know how desperate people feel when frozen. It really sucks.

I've experienced frozen like status twice:

I Forgot my pw to my account, and in the email category was none. So when you send for lost pw, it goes nowhere. Very horrible. The automated email said to use the send for lost pw feature. So much for the automated junk. I got lucky, with friend becoming friends with some staff. Got it back after naming some of my old pws.

Frozen now, I have good beginner's luck. I have a bad feeling I'm not getting this account back even though I am completely innocent. Friend stopped playing :|

How do you deal with it? I had three people neomail me today insisting that I tell them the answers to the Mystery Pict!

I agree with you, stampsyne--it does suck. I haven't experienced it first hand--yet--but have had sympathy pains when my family members went through it.

But Cleo_lo is right. I have noticed the same thing.

Rude people are a part of life. I had somebody claim to be poor and ask that that I give them codestones out of my shop. I was steamed for awhile. I let off steam and felt better. That is one thing about PPT is that rude people, fisher of clues, cheaters, and scam artists are usually ignored; outside of the occasional helpful person answering a question. They drift off and usually don't come back. ;)

EDIT: Thanks Plushie. I thought my quick and positive response back would generate hope, but the outcome is more like a nightare.

Perhaps people are jumping on board in the hopes of rubbing elbows with borovan. But, you and stampsyne are right--each of us was new here at one time or another.

And, PPT is a great place to get support--even if you don't ever get unfrozen, you do get the sympathy and understanding of others here.

I was frozen *about* a week ago, they said i was 'using multiple accounts to obtain neopoints'

they frozen my sister too, prolly cause i gave her a Starry P/B as a gift so she could paint her cybunny o_O;;

ah well, she and i restarted, we STILL didnt get a response from TNT
T-T

she got a great start with 450k though, TCG redeem codes, looooonnnngggg story ;)

usually, when people asked items of me, I ignored them. Sometimes I would give them something small, but they usually try to turn around and scam me -_-.

Part 1: Frozen people would naturally come to a well known help site asking how to be unfrozen. I myself am one of those people. It's better than sitting in the dark, twidling my thumbs waiting to be unfrozen by noone.
Part 2: People will always try to free load answers. The best thing to do is to ignore it. Like the chain letter people in neopet chats.
