Cruciblack is a fabled pirate who took a strong dislike to Captain Scarblade after they both lost a ship full of cargo because they were arguing over who could plunder it. They met in the Battle of the Calm Blue Ocean, in which both Captains were forced to sail near each other for a week due to unfavourable winds.

- Cruciblack never appears in Neopets Puzzle Adventure, but there is a book about his dealings with Scarblade featured in the game.
