Pteris are lively and fun loving creatures who can soar through the skies with ease. They are originally from the prehistoric world of Tyrannia although can no be found all over Neopia. You will often find Pteri nesting high in the treetops of Tyrannia. They like nothing better than playing tricks on those who pass by and filling the air with their squawking laughter.

• As of November 2006, 2.5 million Pteris have been created on Neopets, placing them 30th of 54 Neopets in popularity. They are also featured in 85 items and come in 32 different colours.
