The Pteri is a bird-like Neopet created on May 16, 2001. Originally from the prehistoric world of Tyrannia, they can now be found all over Neopia. Pteris are lively and fun-loving creatures which can fly through the skies with ease. Pteri are often found nesting high places such as treetops, and enjoy playing tricks on those who pass by, and filling the air with their laughter.
It's suggested in the Yellow Pteri card Pteris migrate to Mystery Island, similar to the migration of real-life birds.
Trivia
- As of November 2006, 2.5 million Pteris have been created on Neopets, placing them 30th of 54 Neopets in popularity. They are also featured in 85 items and come in 32 different colours.
- In the Neopets TCG, Pteris are associated with the element of air.
- A red Pteri is the official mascot of TheDailyNeopets.com.
