Krawk (Neopet)
- This article is about the Neopet Krawk. If you are looking up the Petpet, see Krawk (Petpet).
The reptilian Krawk is the rarest Neopet in Neopia. A little over 2,000 exist in Neopia, due to the unique methods to create one.
The Krawk is the only species in existence that are Petpet mutations. One day, an owner took his Neopet to the Fungus Cave on Krawk Island. The Neopet in question also brought along his Petpet, which was incidentally a Krawk. When the petpet ate the fungus, it slowly mutated into a full-grown Krawk.
However, when news got out about this, the price of the unpopular Krawk Petpet skyrocketed. As of April 2006 they were worth over 4.5 million Neopoints, and the Krawk is one of the most coveted pets on the site. Many consider it a status symbol pet, since a person would need to be either very rich or very lucky to have one.
Classified by scientists as a Neopet and a Petpet, this creature loves mischief and it is a common sight to see a shop keeper chase a Krawk down the street while the Krawk runs away with a string of sausages in its claws laughing gleefully. Also a seasoned fighter, this Neopet's outgoing nature and natural fighting ability make it a prime candidate for Battledome veterans.
Trivia
- As of February 8, 2007, there are 2,324 Krawks, placing them in 54th in popularity, making them the winner of the Wooden Spoon Award.
- If a users Krawk Petpet is painted Faerie or any other colour when taken to the Fungus Cave, it will turn into that coloured Krawk Neopet. Source from the editorial of issue 239 of the Neopian Times.
