The Assassin
"Children! She sends me against children!"
The Assassin (sometimes called the Gelert Assassin) refers to the Grey Gelert who made an appearance in Neopets: The Darkest Faerie, who The Darkest Faerie hired to kill Roberta and Tormund. He spends much of his time attempting to stop the heroes from advancing, only directly attacking them on their first and last meeting. Act 3
The first time Tor and Roberta encounter the Assassin, he attacks them just outside of Brightvale Castle. However, the knights guarding the gate rush to their aid, and the Assassin escapes. After this, the Assassin makes several attempts to indirectly stop the pair, such as causing Sludgies and skeletons to attack them, and breaking the lift to Illusen's Glade. He makes another appearance just outside of the dark cloud wall surrounding Meridell, stating that it is impenetrable.
Tor and Roberta finally face off with the Assassin in Illusen's Glade, but the Assassin escapes before he can be defeated.
