The Haunted Woods is spooky and scary world within Neopets. Fills with many evil and wretched things, and home to Eliv Thade, Edna and many other villains of Neopia.

The Deserted Fairground is a part of the Haunted Woods. It hosts a few shops, as well as many games to play (like Test Your Strength and the Wheel of Misfortune), although many of the games are rigged, and almost unplayable.

NeoQuest II

This is the fourth world in Neoquest II. A spell has been cast causing the sun to stay up. Now all the ghosts are in people's houses. In reality, the ship is moving faster and faster towards the star, getting closer. The people in the first village claim Count Von Roo cast the spell, but it turns out he is held hostage by the boss Meuka. The Count claims that Balthazar, Hubrid Nox, and the Spider Grundo worked in collaboration. It turns out that it was none of them. The final boss is the Esophagor. At the end of the act it turns out that Edna accidentally cast the spell, and that it can't be undone. You move on to the final act in Faerieland.

The Tale of Woe

On October 2, 2006, an gypsy camp visited the Haunted Woods, and users were told a tale of a city in the Haunted Woods called Neovia. In the tale, they are told of the curse which had taken over, and the origins of Sophie.
