The Tyrannian Invasion is a plot which released Tyrannia to Neopia, and the first war in which players themselves could fight for the safety of Neopia. Began March 20, 2001 and ended May 11, 2001.
The Plot
On March 20, 2006, an earthquake tore through all of Neopia, hitting the Ice Caves the worst and splitting open a chasm right through the middle of it. The next day the earthquake stopped, and a tunnel was found leading down into the darkness. The deeper Neopians went the warmer and dryer it became, and roots of strange plants began to cover the walls of the tunnel. A mile deep into the the tunnel and the roots and vines are too dense for anyone to proceed, until a then unknown Neopet the Chomby began to eat at the vegatation, opening up the way to Tyrannia, a prehistoric land.
