The Neopets Trading Card Game is a card game based around Neopets. Expansion sets, which are periodically released, often correlate to future storylines that will be used plots in Neopia.

Expansions

Base Set

The original set of cards which contained 234 cards.


Battle For Meridell

Expansion that was released along with the Battle for Meridell Plot. Contained 140 cards, and two theme decks could be bought (one for Meridell and Darigan). Introduced ten new Neopet species, Location and Plushie cards.


Return of Dr. Sloth

100 cards, and introduced 6 new Neopet species, new abilities, and the introduction of Petpetpets.


Mystery Island

100 cards, 4 new Neopets, new locations, tropical fruits, island plushies, powerful codestones, and exotic totems.


Hannah and the Ice Caves

150 cards. Introduced Curse cards.

The Hannah and the Ice Caves Release Tournaments was held October 30, 2004. All players received a Red Bori promo card and a Hannah and Bori lanyard. Prizes included Hannah and the Ice Caves booster packs and the first place winner took home a Hannah and the Ice Caves Snow Globe Trophy.


Curse of Maraqua

120 cards. Introduced Maraquan equipment, new ways for Neopets to move around, and four new Neopets.


Lost Desert

100 cards. Introduced three new Neopets.


The Darkest Faerie

Released along with the PS2 video game Neopets: The Darkest Faerie. 155 cards, introduced magical constellations, original-art sketch cards, and the legendary world Altador.


Travels in Neopia

Not a true expansion, but a rerelease of popular cards from previous expansions. 200 cards.

Promotional Cards

Cards given out as promotional items for the game (11 cards total thus far).
