Site Theme

Site Themes are themed skins for the Neopets website. While a handful of site themes are available to users by default, most site themes must be unlocked by performing certain actions, such as participating in a plot or redeeming a virtual prize code.

Users can change their current site theme by selecting their desired theme from the drop down menu located under the "Theme" section of their Site Preferences page.

History

Site themes were initially called "sidebar theme" when they were first introduced, due to the distinct sidebar on the left side of the Neopets page at that time.

On April 27, 2007, TNT redesigned the site layout and renamed sidebar themes "site themes". The colour of the header on user and pet lookups will change depending on the theme used, except when the user-created layout is in effect.

All Site Themes

	Neopets Basic This is the default site theme. It is automatically available to all users.
	Haunted Woods Released October 31, 2004 Refresh anywhere on the Neopets website at 11:59pm NST on October 31. This site theme was also rewarded to users that won the first ever Random Contest.
	Winter Holiday Released February 2, 2005 The exact requirements for unlocking this site theme are currently unknown; however, many users have unlocked it while collecting gifts from the Advent Calendar.
	Valentine's Day Released February 14, 2005 Send or receive an A Mysterious Valentines Card item on February 14th.
	Space Faerie Premium Released June 1, 2005 Be a member of Neopets Premium and refer 5 players to the premium service.
	Curse of Maraqua Released June 14, 2005 Available as a reward to users who participated in the Curse of Maraqua plot. It costs 1 plot point in the Curse of Maraqua prize shop.
	Altador Cup Released August 5, 2006 Rewarded to users who participate in the Altador Cup.
	Cyodrake's Gaze Released September 14, 2006 Rewarded to users who got two or more answers correct during the Cyodrake's Gaze plot.
	Altadorian Constellations Released September 16, 2006 Rewarded to users who complete the Altador Plot.
	Tale of Woe Released March 2, 2007 Rewarded to users who completed at least one step during the Tale of Woe plot.
	Neopets Blue Released April 27, 2007 Automatically available to all users.
	Neopets Green Released April 27, 2007 Automatically available to all users.
	Neopets Red Released April 27, 2007 Automatically available to all users.
	Neopets Yellow Released April 27, 2007 Automatically available to all users.
	Neopets Purple Released August 15, 2007 View the pet lookup of a Neopet that has a Purple Petpet attached to it.
	The Return of Dr. Sloth Released April 1, 2008 Rewarded to users who completed at least one step during The Return of Dr. Sloth plot.
	Petpet Protection League Released October 28, 2008 Rewarded to users who completed at least one step during the Operation: Petpet Park plot.
	Puzzle Adventure Released November 25, 2008 Redeem all ten prize codes from the Neopets Puzzle Adventure video game.
	Quizara's Curse Released March 11, 2009 Redeem all four prize codes from the Quizara's Curse video game.
	Daily Dare Released April 3, 2009 During a Daily Dare event, complete all challenges before the event ends. It does not matter whether you challenge AAA or Abigail.
	Atlas of the Ancients Released December 4, 2009 Rewarded to users who completed at least one step during the Atlas of the Ancients plot.
	The Faeries' Ruin Released January 26, 2011 Rewarded to users who completed at least one step during the The Faeries' Ruin plot.
	Festival of Neggs Released May 5, 2011 Rewarded to users who found each plastic Negg on the day it was released during the 2011 or 2012 Festival of Neggs.
	Treasure Keepers Released August 3, 2011 Given to users who completed the Open For Business achievement in Treasure Keepers.
	Krawk Island Released August 9, 2011 Rewarded to users who completed every step of the Disappearance of Krawk Island puzzle on the day that it was released.
