Similar to the Premium referral system. Neopets users can refer their friends in order to get prizes. This is done using an individual URL for each member. This URL is also incorporated into a series of buttons, banners and Neobadges which lead anyone who clicks on them to a referral page. All the people you refer have to be different, and they also have to play Neopets. Just signing up with fake accounts does not work. You will NOT get credit for an account until it is 'activated'. The new member must confirm their email address by clicking on the link in the email we send to them in order for you to get credit as having referred them.
These are the referral prizes:
- 1 signup: 100 neopoints
- 2 signups: 200 neopoints
- 3 signups: 500 neopoints
- 5 signups: Randomly selected rare item or 1000 neopoints
- 7 signups: A randomly selected Bottled Faerie
- 10 signups: One Dubloon Coin
- 15 signups: A random Codestone
- 20 signups: All of your pets will gain a level
- 25 signups: Five Dubloon Coin
- 30 signups: A Set of Bottled Faeries
- 40 signups: Lots of Codestones
- 50 signups: A randomly selected basic colour Paint Brush
- 75 signups: A super rare item
- 100 signups: A randomly selected non-basic Paint Brush
