- The Battle Magic item Wand of the Dark Faerie redirects here, and is sometimes confused for the Hidden Tower item Jhudoras Wand.
Jhudora is one of the more powerful Dark Faeries in Neopia. Her cloud is in Faerieland. She is the greatest enemy of Illusen. No one knows what she is doing, but she gives out quests to those who are willing to complete her task. Most villains earn their rank through terrible deeds, but Jhudora has thus far not been found of any wrong doing, and hasn't done any direct harm to Neopia.
Ranking among Neopia's most feared residents, Jhudora is regarded with suspicion and always approached with caution. Her temper and tendency to deceive and manipulate are well known, but that isn't enough for the other faeries to condemn her. But as a result of her actions she's watched very closely by her faerie sisters. It's been rumoured over the years she had ties to several terrible things that have occurred in Neopia. Until there is any proof, however, Jhudora remains free.
Jhudora's Cloud
Users can visit Jhudora's Cloud and choose to participate in a quest once a day to give her random items across Neopets. Starting at Level 1, users have 16 minutes to find the item, the rarity of which increases with each new level, before time runs out. If time runs out before the user returns with the proper item, the Level will reset to Level 1, and the user will have to start all over.
Should the user participate in Illusen's quests, Jhudora will become angry with the user and not allow her quests to be completed for the rest of the day. Jhudora's quests are more difficult than Illusen's, and require the user to find rarity 99 items starting level 21. Because of this, items in the later levels are more valuable and expensive than in Illusen's.
Rewards
Level 1 - Poisonous Lollypop
The Poisonous Lollypop is a Candy item that, when eaten, will give your Neopet the disease Floppy Tongue. It is often used to "switch" a Neopet's disease, as the cure for floppy tongue is rather cheap compared to other sicknesses.
Level 3 - Noxious Nectar
Noxious Nectar is a one-use Battle Magic item that deals 2 earth icons and 2 dark icons. Due to its weak power it has a very low price on the shop-wizard.
Level 5 - Jhudoras Brush
Jhudoras Brush is a grooming item that can increase your Neopet's mood.
Level 8 - Purple Blob Potion
Purple Blob Potion is a Battle Magic item that deals 3 fire and 3 dark icons, but is considered not as good as the caustic potion (see below).
Level 11 - Jhudora T-Shirt
The Jhudora T-Shirt is a Clothes item.
Level 14 - Gnome Shroom
The Gnome Shroom is a gourmet Spooky Food and rumoured (in its description) that it will turn into a gnome at a certain time of the day, but it has not been proven.
Level 17 - Caustic Potion
The Caustic Potion is a Battle Magic item and popular in the beginner level for its similarity to Illusen's quest prize mud mixture, but is more expensive due to being obtained at a higher level. It deals 5 earth icons of damage and heals 1-5 hp, though it is definitely better to simply buy a mud mixture for the exact same effects.
Level 20 - Dark Faerie Magic (Avatar awarded)
The Dark Faerie Magic is a book containing spells the ancient Dark Faeries used to use. Users can also receive the Jhudora's Cloud avatar upon completing this level if they haven't received it before. After this level Jhudora will begin requesting items of rarity 99 and above, including blue Draik morphing potions.
Level 23 - Malice Potion
Malice Potion is a Magic Item that either heals your pet 3 hp, gives it the disease Blurry Eyes, or does nothing. It can only be used outside of the Battledome, and is considered useless.
Level 26 - Purple Spotted Shroom
Purple Spotted Shroom is a Mystic Mushroom that either heals your pet 3 hp, gives it one permanent health point, or gives one permanent strength point. Not a bad training device, but not as reliable as certain neggs.
Level 29 - Clockwork Rat
The Clockwork Rat is a Toy.
Level 32 - Toxic Shroom
The Toxic Shroom is a food item that doesn't give anything to your pet.
Level 35 - Dark Shroom
The Dark Shroom, like the Toxic Shroom, is also a food item and gives nothing to your pet.
Level 38 - Jhudoras Potion
Jhudoras Potion is a powerful once-per-battle bomb, but is not as good as the famous Ghostkerbomb.
Level 41 - Bartamus
- Main Article: Bartamus
The Bartamus is a bat-like Petpet. They are grumpy looking, and can be a fierce companion if they take a liking to someone. Due to the high level one must attain to receive the Bartamus, it's one of the rarest and most expensive Petpets to own.
Level 44 - Dark Faerie Collar
Dark Faerie Collar is a Defence Magic item that deals 10 dark icons of damage, defends 5 light icons, and reflects 25% of all dark icons.
Level 47 - Portable Cloud
The Portable Cloud is a rather weak Battle Magic item, dealing 5 wind and 5 light icons of damage, while defending 5 earth and 5 physical items. It may also give your opponent the disease watery eyes. At its high price though, it is hardly worth it.
Level 50 - Wand of the Dark Faerie
The Wand of the Dark Faerie is a wand used among the Dark Faeries and Jhudora, which is said of that it can only be used by creatures of evil. Because it is virtually impossible and always very expensive to complete a quest at level 50, very few of this item exist, costing well over 900 million Neopoints.
The Wand of the Dark Faerie is one of the ultimate weapons in Neopia, but because of it's rarity it is hardly seen in the battledome. For the price of the wand, one could buy a top-level battledome weapon set. It deals 22 dark icons and 1-10 physical icons of attack, for a maximum of 32 icons, and reflects 75% of light damage. The wand will heal 20% of your max hit points if your pet's HP are in red when you use the wand. Although this weapon does heal, it does not take up a healing slot, which alone makes it a great weapon to equip.
Users of the weapon, precious few, should be wary of the Ghostkershield, which blocks all dark icons, making the wand into only a 1-10 physical icon weapon. The Ghostkershield is a commonly seen shield at this level of the battledome because defence against dark icons is useful against items like the Sword of Skardsen.
Trivia
- Some Random Events which involve Jhudora...
- Oh look. Jhudora appears and hands you a gift. Wait... Jhudora!? A gift?! Umm... are you sure you should have taken it?
- One of the "gifts" she gives is a Poison Tipped Dagger. It is unknown if there are more.
- Jhudora appears in a flash of purple and green smoke and says, "Have you completed one of my quests, today?"
- Oh look. Jhudora appears and hands you a gift. Wait... Jhudora!? A gift?! Umm... are you sure you should have taken it?
- No one knows why Illusen and Jhudora are enemies, however it could be (as mentioned in the Neopedia) that Illusen saw Jhudora doing something terrible.
