The Lever of Doom is an attraction at the Virtupets Space Station released on February 8, 2005. When a user pulls the Lever, a robotic hand comes out and steals 100 of the user's neopoints, and nothing happens when the user has under 100 neopoints. An avatar is randomly awarded, but it's only awarded when the hand steals your money.
The Lever mainly serves as a neopoint sink designed to remove a small fraction of neopoints from users to combat price inflation due to the high distribution rate of neopoints.
