Videos were a type of item sold at Video Rentals from May 3, 2000 to December 7, 2001. Videos were not functional, much like many gift items, and were eventually transformed into very rare, retired books.

Videos were never fully explored by The Neopets Team, due to the implications of such technology on the rest of the Neopian setting - "they don't fit in with the technology level". Despite this, the futuristic Virtupets Space Station was created on August 22, 2000, and the game Adver-Video was released September 21, 2006, where a real television is used to watch videos.
