The original Neoquest puts you in the role of a Lupe (called "Neoquest Hero" as it's name is whatever your active Neopet is) in the world of Neopia 10,000 years ago. You controlled this one hero his/her quest to stem back the tide of evil.
The sequel Neoquest II also follows the same "in the past feel", but in actuallyity takes place in a hologram aboard a hijacked space ship. This surprised many players upon finding out, as they were expecting a story set in a medieval land. In this installation, a new battle system was implemented, along with the use of more party members (a total of 4).
There have been talk of a Neoquest III in the works, but it's shrouded in mystery at this time.
