They swim in the rivers, streams and oceans of [[Neopia]], unseen by most. They can be heard singing quietly at night, but only if they aren't aware others are near. They specialise in healing and defensive powers that will protect Neopets from harm.

They are also hungry for knowledge, and the more powerful Uber Water Faeries will sometimes give a [[Faerie Quest]] to users, asking them to bring them a [[book]]. If completed, the Water Faerie will raise a Neopet's defence.
