The Snowager is a giant ice worm who lives in the Ice Caves. Cold as ice and extremely mean, the Snowager is renowned for its frosty breath. It keeps a large treasure pile in his cave, which he always sleeps upon.

There are similarities in both the visual representation (their snake-like appearance, their colouring and markings), their habitats, and their habits (they both have a tendency towards hoarding objects) between The Snowager and the Snowickle Petpet. It is possible, and indeed likely, that there is a relationship between the two left intentionally by the artists. If a relationship exists, it is thought to be similar to the Turmaculus-Turmac relationship (the former being an overgrown or matured form of the latter). Certainly the Snowickle seems to have been designed to appear similar to the Snowager, but this connection is not official.

:Main Article: II

The Snowager is an NPC in NeoQuest II, and contrary to his terrorsome roll in the Ice Caves, in the simulation he Terror Mountain's roads of avalanches, which are actually the ship's data routes. He is imprisoned by Scuzzy and it is the job of Rohane and his party to defeat Scuzzy and free the him.  After Scuzzy is defeated the Snowager is free and reveals himself as a sentient program in charge of maintaining the ship's computers, but that a virus has been installed and now has control of the ship's computers.

The Snowager is a giant ice worm who lives in the Ice Caves, guarding an enormous hoard of treasure. Cold as ice and extremely mean, the Snowager is renowned for its freezing cold breath. While he sleeps for only a few hours a day, players may choose those times to approach and try to steal some of his hoard. The Snowager may be based on the dragons of European folklore, who in many stories - Beowulf, Fafnir - guarded treasure. He first appeared on January 11, 2001.

He is a Battledome opponent, is featured in II, and has a starring role in the game Wrath of the Snowager.
Battledome
The Snowickle Petpet is reminiscent of the Snowager - in its snakelike appearance and markings, and tendency to hoard objects - and fans have theorised that the Snowager may be an overgrown form of the Snowickle, like the Turmaculus is an overgrown Turmac. The Hissi resembles the Snowager when painted Ice.

Snowager's Cave
...to be added...

The Snowager first appeared when his cave was added to the Ice Caves map on January 11, 2001. In it, the Snowager guards his treasure from any user who would want to take some of it.
Quotes
The Snowager only sleeps between 6-7 AM, 2-3 PM, and 10-11 PM, Neopia Standard Time. During these times, it is possible to sneak in and grab a prize from the pile of treasure he rests on. Prizes range from neggs to medicine to plushies. Anyone who attempts to steal some of his treasure runs the risk of waking the Snowager, and he may deal damage to a user's active Neopet, or all of a user's Neopets, by delivering a powerful icy blast.
During Fight...

Being blasted by the Snowager allows the user to challenge him in the Battledome. It also has a chance of awarding the user with an avatar.
*Fool, why do you want to fight again?! You haven't beaten me yet! Aww did the little NeoPet get hurt...

The player may attempt to steal one piece of treasure every time the Snowager sleeps.
After Win...

Winter Starlight Celebration
*Maybe next time you will beat me!!!
In December 2011, as a part of the Winter Starlight Celebration, the Snowager went into hibernation for the month. This meant users could visit at any time of the day and attempt to steal a prize. Initially, users could try every two hours - this was later fixed to only allow one attempt per day. This has re-occurred every year since.

NeoQuest II

The Snowager is a non-player character in NeoQuest II. He keeps order in Terror Mountain by clearing the roads of avalanches and eating various monsters that prowl the roads. At the beginning of the act he has gone missing - imprisoned by Scuzzy in his cave. When Rohane defeats Scuzzy, the Snowager can clear the cave-in keeping him trapped and the act is complete.
*(unknown)

The Snowager explains that his role in the ship's computer is to maintain the data lines and defeat rogue programmes - in the analogy of the simulation, clearing the roads and eating the monsters. A virus was introduced in the computer that he was unable to defeat, and he was trapped in a data loop - the cave. The virus is now in control of the ship's computer - the sentinel programme, in the guise of the Snowager, explains that it is up to Rohane to defeat it by entering the computer again in the rest of the  simulations he was now able to unlock.
Lose

After act three, when the ship's crew has cleared the sandstorm in the Lost Desert, the sentinel programme appears again as the Snowager on a monitor to explain what has happened - the sandstorm represented random data that was clogging the ship's network, and now that Rohane has cleared it, the various ships systems can communicate again. When Talinia accesses the ship's scanners, she realises they are headed for a collision course with a star: the Snowager explained that they only had a few hours left before the heat melted the hull. He unlocked the Haunted Woods simulation, believing it would explain why the doors were locked.
