After this, the Assassin makes several attempts to inconvenience the pair, such as causing Sludgies and skeletons to attack them, and breaking the lift to [[Illusen's Glade]]. He makes another appearance just outside of the dark cloud wall surrounding Meridell, stating that it is impenetrable.
