'''Meridell''' is a [[wikipedia:medieval|medieval]] themed land that was released on July 30, 2002, as part of the [[Champions of Meridell]] [[plot]].  It is ruled by [[King Skarl]] and is protected by his brave knights.

In the Champions of Meridell plot, [[Lisha]] and her friends had to travel 300 years into the past in order to reach Meridell. However, the idea that Meridell exists only [[Neopia|Neopia's]] past has since been dropped from [[Neopets]] [[Wikipedia:Canon (fiction)|canon]], and in recent plots, such as the [[Altador Cup]], it is implied that Meridell exists at the same time as the other lands of Neopia.
