The '''Ghost Lupe''' (formerly ''Ghost Lion'', see [[Ghost Lupe#Trivia|Trivia]]) is a restless [[Lupe]] [[Ghost]] who prowls [[Mystery Island]], seeking revenge against the dangerous natives who kidnapped his bride two centuries ago. He is believed to be named ''Sylva'', the first mate of a ship sent to colonize Mystery Island. As the only officer who survived the ship wreck with one third of the passengers, he kept a log of their attempts to survive against the natives, witch doctors, and a fiery spirit in the jungles. His last entry detailed a small group of survivors being captured by natives during the night, and that he "must rescue her", ''her'' being his bride (or so it's believed). After this, there are no more entries in the journal.

A [[Chia]] and his Petpet Tigermouse move into a [[Neohome]].  Later, while watching television, the Chia says that he loves the snow, only to realize that the cold is actually from the Ghost Lupe haunting his house.  They run to the [[Defenders of Neopia]] Headquarters to get help.

One day, a [[Yellow]] [[Chia]] and his [[Tigermouse]] [[Petpet]] named Squeaky moved into a new [[NeoHome]] at 131 Soup Alley in [[Neopia Central]].  Unfortunately for the pair, the house was haunted by the spirit of the Ghost Lupe.  The Ghost Lupe levitated a [[Wikipedia:Candelabra|candelabra]] and threw it at Squeaky.  He then followed the Squeaky and his owner around the house, popping out and frightening them wherever they went.  The Chia, scared out of his own house, ran to the Defenders of Neopia headquarters and told Judge Hog about his ghost problem.  Judge Hog agreed to help.  After the user defeated the Ghost Lupe in the Battledome, Judge Hog trapped the spectre in a yellow striped ghost trap.  This ghost trap is an direct homage to the [[Wikipedia:Ghostbusters (franchise)|Ghostbusters franchise]].
The Ghost Lupe can be found in Neohome 131 Soup Alley.  This seems like an obscure area to find a battledome challenger, but the address is prominently visible in the Defenders of Neopia comic.  Simply go to the Neohome site, and refresh once.  Afterwards, he should be on your challenge list.
