'''Buzz''' (singular and plural, [[wikipedia:onomatopoeia|onomatopoeia]] for the noise a wasp makes) are a [[wikipedia:wasp|wasp]]-like species of [[Neopet]]. They were introduced on 11 January 2000 as the Fleye (see [[#Old designs|below]]). They have excellent eyesight and are very acrobatic. Many farmers consider Buzz a menace, as they can fly to the top of trees and pick the plumpest fruit in the blink of an eye. Though predatory, they have [http://www.neopets.com/tcg/displayCard.phtml?edid=9&id=110 small teeth] and are [http://www.neopets.com/tcg/displayCard.phtml?edid=9&id=101 fond of fruit].

In the [[Battledome]], Buzz take 20% less damage from air attacks. They also have 6 species [[abilities]]:

The Buzz was first introduced as the Fleye on 11 January 2000 as the result of a Christmas Pet Competition. The Fleye was an eyeball with wings, feet, and antennae, and can still be seen in an old [[Caption Competition]] and the original icon for the [[ability]] ''Flight''. 

The Fleye only lasted six months - it was replaced on 24 July that year with the first Buzz design, which was much more insectoid although ironically lost the antennae.
