The Lava Ghoul roams [[Mystery Island]].  Because it steals and then consumes food and other items, the Lava Ghoul is considered a menace.

*If a user lands on the [[Wheel of Excitement|Wheel of Excitement's]] Lava Ghoul space, the Lava Ghoul will come down from a nearby cloud and breathe fire over all of the user's [[Neopet]]s, causing them to lose some HP.
*In the early days of [[Neopets]], the Lava Ghoul had its own page in the [[Gallery of Evil]]. This page was removed from the site sometime before 2002.
