The '''Chomby''' is a shy, plant-eating [[Limited Edition]] Neopet reminiscent of an ''[[wikipedia:Apatosaurus|Apatosaurus]]'' and a ''[[wikipedia:Stegosaurus|Stegosaurus]]''. Chombies come from [[Tyrannia]], and first appeared on the [[Neopets|site]] when Tyrannia was discovered on 21 March 2001. They were first available to adopt the following day. 

The Chomby is a hefty Neopet - a single one can [http://www.neopets.com/tcg/displayCard.phtml?edid=7&id=81 shake the ground] on its own. The [[Maraquan]] Chomby is [http://www.neopets.com/tcg/displayCard.phtml?edid=7&id=10 a reference to] the legend of the [[wikipedia:Loch Ness Monster|Loch Ness Monster]]. In the [[Neopets Trading Card Game]], they are associated with the element of light.
