The '''Wocky''' is a [[wikipedia:cat|cat]]-like [[Neopet]] released on 15 November 1999 as one of the original Neopets on the site. Far from being scaredy-cats, Wockies in general are among the bravest and most adventurous of Neopians. They love exploring new territories above all else and are often the first to leap into the unknown, something that less daring Neopets would be more reluctant to do. While the search for [http://www.neopets.com/tcg/displayCard.phtml?edid=9&id=112 hidden treasures] is the typical catalyst for their explorations, some Wockies, such as the [[Wocky Professor]] and [[Clara Chatham]], pursue adventure for more cerebral purposes (which in Clara's case led to the discovery of a [[Moltara|lost civilisation]]).
