Peophins are considered to be rare and magical Neopets that seldom mix with other species. Rumours that they bring good fortune and happiness to those around them are enhanced by their secretive and shy natures. Many [http://www.neopets.com/neopedia.phtml?neopedia_id=246 stories] tell of Neopets hopelessly lost at sea but rescued by a Peophin, most likely [[Venuquin the Guide]]. 

Peophins were the first [[Limited Edition]] Neopet, but were later made available for all owners. In the [[Neopets Trading Card Game]], they are associated with the element of Water.

==Battledome==
In the [[Battledome]], Peophins have a 20% resistance to water and 10% resistance to earth attacks. They are vulnerable to fire, receiving 15% more damage from it. They have three species [[abilities]]:
