The term '''Zombie''' refers to a creature in [[Neopia]] (usually a [[Neopet (species)|Neopet]] or [[Petpet]]) which bares resemblance to or is a [[Wikipedia:Zombie|Zombie]]. On [[Neopets (website)|Neopets]], Zombies existed since at least October 15, 2001 when [[NeoQuest I]] featured zombified characters, and introduced as an actual [[The Rainbow Pool|colour]] on October 25, 2007.

==Overview==
Zombified creatures in Neopia walk around moaning about [[Wikipedia:Brain|Brains]] and are believed to be indulge in the grey matter's consumption... behind closed doors, of course.  It's a theory that has no textual backing, but the silence may just be [[The Neopets Team]]'s way of keeping Neopets a bright and cheery place (on the surface).

Zombies are one of the many pop culture references The Neopets Team places into the game. Their hopping on the zombie bandwagon can be seen in [[Neopian Times]] editorial [http://www.neopets.com/newnt/index.phtml?section=editorial&week=158 #158], where they claim to dress as Zombies.  It's also interesting to note that the staff is said to have met the director of [[Wikipedia:Shaun of the Dead|Shaun of the Dead]].
