'''Neopoints''' are the currency used in [[Neopia]]. Neopoints can be gained through playing [[Game]]s, buying and selling [[Item]]s/stock, and [[Contest]]s.

Neopoints don't have 'physical' denominations, that is, they are not items like [[Dubloons]]. There have been several ways of representing neopoints attempted in various games and random events, the most sucessful of these being the ''swagbag''. In a [[Neopian Times]] editorial, it was stated that a 1 [[NP]] coin was small and gold.

*Neopoints are a large part of [[Random Event]]s, where random happenings around the [[Neopets]] website give you a little or a lot of Neopoints:

*On February 28, 2000, if a user had less than 100 NP at the end of the day, it would be raised back to 100. This has been discontinued.
