It is rare for human characters to participate in plots, and [[The Neopets Team]] did at one point replace human characters such as [[Edna]] and the [[Island Mystic]] with Neopets, but left the Tiki Tack Man as he is.

The Tiki Tack Man needed to be saved during the Mystery Island Volcano plot, after he was kidnapped and his Tombola ransacked, then returned wearing an different, enchanted mask. Players had to retrieve his real Tiki Mask from playing Fetch and give it to him to replace the other mask that controlled him.
