Seems like my area got really lucky. It's supposed to freeze again, but the trees were already drooping a lot less later in the afternoon.

We definitely got very lucky. My friend got significant icing just ten miles from me. Not enough for significant power outages, though obviously a ton of other people did. My siblings in Virginia were also in the path of the storm, but the ones who actually respond to texts and phone calls still had power (one got snow that didn't stick, while the other got a fair amount of snow that was packed down into a solid sheet of ice by sleet and rain, which is too hard for plows and too cold for salt, but it didn't cause significant power outages; it's just keeping them home).

Day 9: ? I was falling asleep trying to finish my dailies, and I woke up in the morning knowing I had gone to Trudy's page but with no recollection of whether I had actually spun, much less collected the prize. I was thrilled to discover I hadn't been reset. Now I vaguely remember getting 16k, so we'll go with that

We are supposed to get a hard freeze this weekend. We're prepping to cover the poor pineapples. They are NOT meant for hard freezes!

Another "snow" day. No snow yet. It's going to be 18 tonight and tomorrow night.

Spent a chunk of time both yesterday and today prepping for the cold. Most of the pineapples got covered (we were exhausted by the time we got to the batch we left for last, which was the ones that already don't look like they're doing good, so we left them with just lights.) The winds are something else. Really had to secure those sheets well! It's crazy out tonight! Hopefully everything will stay in place and we won't lose too much to the cold...

Day 15: 19k

It's already "warmed up" to 21 degrees. Weirdly, the snow has already melted (more likely sublimed) even though it was still there at sundown and around the same temperature as now. Which is great, because I'll be outside this afternoon (when it's just above freezing).

Day 10, Matched 3, 19.5k

We woke up to having no hot water this morning. Apparently the insulation that the hot water heater guys installed was uhm, NOT sufficient for an actual freeze. Should've put our own wrapping around that. Thankfully the pipe hadn't burst, Mr. P used a heat gun to thaw it, and water started flowing normally afterwards. Pineapples that were covered are still covered. We're leaving the coverings on until we're sure that it's not going to get too cold again, so...probably until Tuesday morning. Then we get to undo all the work we did yesterday...which will probably take half the time. At least...I hope! And then we'll see if they survive...
