I do indeed appreciate today's....but alas, I already have that negg in my gallery. I need the plain Christmas Negg for my gallery still, which they're apparently giving away as some of the social media giveaways this week, which is posted here. I don't have most of those social media accounts...but it is somewhat tempting to create a Tiktok account just to enter this.

I will say though, as a gourmet food as well as being worth 8 neggery points, the negg they gave out today is still nice. Bummer that it dropped over 1.6 mil neopoints in value overnight, though! The MP was already one of the current weekly prizes, but this definitely decimated it's value... (used to be worth 65 mil, now 65k. Ouch!). And the petpet, well...it dropped 8 mil a few days ago when the hint that it might be given out popped up, and has since dropped another 19.6 mil. I understand combating inflation...but the MP really didn't need the double whammy, whether or not it fit the theme. I'm not 100% sure that releasing the Christmas Rock earlier this month helped much, either, as it dropped it down to around 100k, when it has never been SUPER expensive to begin with (peaking at around 4mil). Obviously, I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, inflation needs to be fought....but I'm not 100% convinced that selecting a few items to hand out in this manner really fixes the problem. I dunno. I'll end my rambling here.

Yes, electric pets can conduct electricity.... Why not? Besides, the Mynci is holding the wire by the insulation, not the exposed wire. It also looks like the meepit has only removed the insulation, so the tree would have lit up just fine. Sure, it is a fire hazard, but... yeah.

I have found it fascinating that rabbits (and other rodents such as a meepit) can chew on electrical cords without being electrocuted. In the past, I have repaired replaced multiple lamp cords that had been "chewfully altered" by rabbits.

And my fake neggs are back: Patterned Chocolate Negg
AC: Limited Edition Guitar

My cat has pica and loves to chew on cardboard, books, woodwork, and thin cables (think mouse and phone charging wires). They can actually be electrocuted, so for safety's sake, I now have metal charging cables and a rechargeable wireless mouse. Because she also wanted to chew on several chew-protection plastic covers and certain other allegedly "chew proof" cords. (Oh, and the bitter spray deterrent? She licked that stuff up! Foil? A stressful forty-eight hours to make sure she'd really just shredded it and not eaten it. I had to give up any hopes of foam exercise flooring after I lost that battle of wills. I gave up after she started pushing the boxes that weighed 3-4x what she did off the flooring edges, and I realized I wanted to use my exercise floor and not keep it covered in boxes.)

Today's comic was very cute -- but it shouldn't snow on Mystery Island!

It's Dacardia, though, not Mystery Island, which I don't think we know where on Neopia actually is. The whole thing is a reference to Island Builders (which I'm in the beta for and have played through what's available for beta a couple times now between the different test versions they've had, so it's a little more recent to my brain.)

Day 15:
Reina: Kreludan Christmas Carols
Snowie: Red Bruce Plushie
Neggs that are not neggs/"pick up a negg": 1/1
Plot script today:
Orion: Reina, what are you doing? You promised me you'd stop the Advent Calendar!
Reina: Orion, you're back? Did you get any sleep? You still look exhausted!
Orion: I...I tried, but the sound of the Lyre torments me every night, never allowing me a moment of silence…wait that isn't the point! This all needs to stop right away, you promised!
Reina: I didn't promise anything, Orion. I'm sorry for what you are going through, but Neopians rely on the Advent Calendar to bring them warmth and cheer during the most frigid time of year. I can't shut it all down over nightmares.
Orion: They aren't just nightmares!! They are premonitions! We all need to prepare! Please just listen to me!
Reina: Orion stop! The Advent Calendar simply means too much. I can't just shut it down without proof.
Orion: Fine, you want proof. I'll get you proof!
Prizes:
You find 822 Neopoints!!!
You find a Christmas Bython!!!
You also find a Purple Petpet Paint Brush!!!
You also find a Y25 Cookies!!!

Stocking Stufftacular: 25th Anniversary Silver Tuxedo Outfit

Orion seems a little unhinged. But then...a lack of sleep will do that...(also upcoming plot plot plot)

Today's coloring picture made me think of Howl's Moving Castle (the book series, not the movie, which I haven't seen)
