OK, I just installed Firefox 2.0.0.11, and am very happy with it, except for one thing: When I am browsing Neo or other sites with long links, they don't wrap onto a second row but instead they stretch the page, IE 7 corrects this automatically, but I can't find an option to do this in FF. Here is what I mean:

Internet Explorer 7

Firefox 2.0.0.11

Is there any way to fix this? Thanks :)

There should be an extension for it somewhere.. *hunts*

Ah, found one! https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2021 - give that a whirl and see if it works for you :)

The addon works pretty well, but with one small downside - it doesn't let you neomail, not me, anyway. Thankfully, it's easily temporarily disabled, so it's still okay.

I think my computer has some major spyware.

I'm trying to download Spybot, but every time I search for it under Google or try to go to a download page, my browser (both IE and Firefox) shuts down. I have an old package of Spybot on my computer and every time I try to launch that, the wizard shuts down. Is there a way to get rid of whatever is shutting down my attempts to download Spybot?

I'm guessing you're running Windows?

Probably not easily. You *might* be able to get it to work if you boot in Safe Mode w/Networking, but I'm not sure.

My recommendation, if possible:
Download the Spybot installation file to a CD/USB drive/disk on a different computer.
Take it to your machine and boot into Safe Mode (this prevents most spyware from running during install).
Install Spybot and run a scan to clean your computer, then reboot into normal mode.

In case you're note sure how to get into Safe Mode: hit F8 right after your computer reboots and you see the memory check screen (you may need to tap it several times before it gives you the option for Safe mode, etc)

You could just try system restore. Always works when i get these kinda problems

You also might want to consider running your antivirus during safe mode to see if anything comes up. There is a chance that trying to run your old package of Spybot in safe mode would be helpful, too.

Also, would running an online spyware scanner work? You could give this a shot:
http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/

Javascript must be enabled, and there is still the chance that whatever program is preventing Spybot from loading/downloading/etc will also shut down your browser when you try this.

My suggestions are similar to what ange said: Run antivirus in Safe Mode and try running Spybot in Safe Mode as well. If that doesn't fix the problem, try downloading some (or all) of these programs to get rid of the spyware or viruses:

Ad Aware 2007
Trend Micro Internet Security 2008
AVG Antivirus
Avast Home Edition

Normally, when a virus is preventing you from scanning your computer, you could use Hijack This or Regedit to remove the virus from starting up on launch.

It's wise not to mess with the registry if you don't know what you're doing, however.
