The one good thing about the writer's strike is that it may potentially force CBS to bring the Amazing Race 13 this season- however, it runs the risk of being rushed through production and of lesser quality.

However, I'm gonna miss Heroes (the season finally feels like it kicked in, and now it's being taken away after 4 more episodes - Tim Kring's being really nice about it though), House (status unknown, but definitely will be affected eventually), the Office (Jenna Fischer says one of her favourite scripts was supposed to be shot but didn't make it to production in time, so now there's only one episode left), and Avatar (status unknown), and of course the Daily Show and the Colbert Report, which were off on the first day of the strike.

I'm not really effected honestly. Most of the stuff I watch is reality tv based (see my set lol). Otherwise I watch stuff on national geographic and the discovery & history channels. But at home the only thing I have time to watch are law and order reruns on TNT at like 1 in the afternoon. I have a tv in my room but no satilite and I cant get regular programming so I dont watch tv...and comming out of my room means dealing w. my unplesant mother. I only watch tv when I visit my boyfriend and like I said...its all educational programming and reruns.

I hope things get sorted out soon. As I am from the UK, Desperate Housewives doesn't air here until the new year, so hopefully everything will have blown over by then and shows shall continue as normal. However, I... keep up to date with Heroes stuff from America as its aired, and Ugly Betty is only a few weeks behind. I really hope things are resolved soon. :/

I'll be so sad if they don't air the final episode of "Scrubs." I'm also going to miss Heroes and Smallville.

*Is grateful Stargate Atlantis will not be effected.*

While these shows are great for entertainment, I can understand the strike. I support these writers in what they're doing and the sacrifice of postponment of some shows is worth it if these people get what they need.

Looks like there's going to be another negotiation on the 26th. Hopefully things will get resolved...

One bit of good news: I doubt Avatar will be affected. I could be wrong about this, but animated shows have to be written MONTHS in advance because of the time it takes to send things to Korea to be drawn. Seeing as 11 episodes of Avatar have already been released, they should finish season 3. At least I hope.

What I'm wondering is why shows like The Daily Show or the late-night talk shows can't survive for a few weeks without writers. After 15 years of hosting his own show, you would think Jay Leno would be able to deliver a few 10-minute monologues without having teams of writers write jokes for him.

They probably can survive, but the hosts just aren't crossing the picket line at all (Probably because many of them are also writers).
