Week in review time! And boy, this is was a boring one.

Trophies: Ho hum. I figured they'd be back.

Diddy's FS: Cute. Fun. Looks interesting.

Mr Resetti: Mr Who? I prefer Dr Who or Dr Pepper myself...

Satoshi's FS: Really awesome! The three main elemental Hyper Beams in one attack. Unless the target is Dragon-type, no one is strong to the attack

Tourny: Ho hum. I figured they'd be back.

Like I said. Boring. Not too much of substance.

Diddy's FS doesn't look all that special. On the other hand, the message box in the Pokemon Trainer's is a nice touch.

I suspect we'll be getting a new character next week. *hopes for Paper Mario*

Actually, I forgot to mention the biggest reveal of the week!

Halo 3 is out! Join Master Chief and fight to save humanity from the Covenant and Flood! Then play it again with three friends and beat it in co-op mode. Then hop over to multiplayer and become king of online play.

Now back to the game this thread is really about.

Wow! This week kicked butt! Awesome is an understatement.

Lucas: A new Ness! I hope he as fun to play as the original.

Shadow Moses: REX! RAY! AWESOME! I agree with Snake. Samus should remove her clothes more and Yoshi is female. I totally love the alert with the spotlight.

Snake video: Wheeeeee! More Snake! In case you didn't notice, they also revealed that Mr Saturn and the HRB are back. Fun.

Excitebike: The classic Excitebike too! So cool. And classic Lakitu and Spinies! Fun, fun, fun!

Landmaster: Sweet. Giant tank. To heck with the Subspace Emissary! Fox has a freakin' tank!

Shields: Meh. Fun to see them back. Love seeing Snake and ZS Samus strut their stuff though.

Teams: Cool. I would have loved co-op in SSBM, but this game really has a plot so it is great that there is co-op for it. I am very interested to see how this develops.

Just stopped by to say.... OMG YAY SONIC!!!! Wooooot!

Totally expected really.. but still totally awesome!!! ^________^

I seriously started hyperventilating when I saw this.

I click on the site. I see 'New Character'. I'm cool. I see who the new character is. I haven't stopped being excited for more than a second so far.

Must calm down.

The only complaint that I have about this announcement:
Mario and Sonic at the Olympics comes out before Brawl That means the Sega game with Mario comes out before the Nintendo game with Sonic.

Also, if there is still a possible third-party character they are hiding from us, please let it be Rockman.

Apparently I'm the only one who isn't thrilled about this (well, maybe Roxas isn't either).

Does Isaac count as a third-party character? Because if he doesn't get in, Chris will be even more annoying than usual, I bet.

If you actually grew up during the first Console Wars, then this is one of the biggest deals since Genesis introduced a little, blue hedgehog that almost dethroned Mario as the biggest video game character of all time. I have been a Nintendo fan since I got my first console, but Sonic helped make Sega interesting to me from Genesis to Dreamcast. As soon as Sonic started appearing on GCN, it was only a matter of time until two of the biggest video game characters, minus Pacman and Rockman, appeared in the same game together. This is big, no matter if you are a fan for one but not the other. For a fan of both, I am bouncing off the walls!

That just confused me. Isaac, from Golden Sun. Is he third-party, second-party...?
And I was talking about the real game, not the one you run.

So was I. The only mention of Golden Sun is in the resumes of the musicians. I am pretty sure GS is second party, but someone should check me on that...

Edit: Yep! Camelot is second party to Nintendo so all GS characters are game automatically.

Easily my favourite feature they've announced so far. I know I'm going to have a lot of fun designing and playing on my own stages.

^Uber win-ness indeed. I just hope we can make them super-big, like Hyrule Temple size...or bigger.
