I prefer both, however, I do not like fish, I also do not like cabbage, therefore, I choose not to eat those things, even though my body is more than equipped to handle them.
On the other hand, felines were created to eat meat, but I used to have a cat that had a bit of a doughnut obsession...

I have cats with a donut, chocolate and ice cream obsession! 8)

You do realize Chocolate is posionous for various animals eg. cats, dogs etc.

i buy all my pets chocolate drops from the pet store and my chipmunks have always ate regular chocolate too.

I'm vegetarian but i don't tell other people they should be too. i will cook my friends meat if they come round for dinner

What they eat is what they eat. I'm fine with vegitarians and all, but I really don't like it when they shove it down your throat.

Sun Jul 18, 2004 9:10 pm

I do,I am one! I do it simply because I cannot stand the thoughts of eating an animal. I know God gave them to us for food, but I cannot stand to do it. I am a strong lover of animals, but I dont shove it down peoples throats..okay,I do with my parents ONCE in a while. ;)

Twitchy,I am a year older than you and have been a vegitarian for less than a year. :P

So all in all,it is opinion and personal tastes. Even though I am a vegitarian,I cannot stand most veggies.

I eat meat, but not store bought. Only because storebough is nasty..
But, I don't see why vegetarians who don't eat meat to save animals work. Because, if no one ate meat... there would be no animals.

I think it depends on the persons point of view and morals, I really don't mind if someone's a vegitarian or not, they're still a person. :)

I don't have anything against vegetarians as it is their choice to not eat meat, just as it's mine to eat meat.
It's not so much a matter of opinion as it is a matter of choice, even preference at times.

I am a vegetarian, due to my personal opinions on the subject of meat and animals...

I'm also quite fine with vegans and people who eat meat, as they have their own opinions. Just as long as they don't tell me 'OH YOU'RE KILLING ANIMALS BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT A VEGAN YOU SUCK GO DIE!!!!' or 'What's wrong with you? We were meant to eat meat, moron. You're being an idiot by being a vegetarian.' >_>

I don't care what people eat, but I do care if they have a problem with what I eat.

higher chain predetors ( of which we are one) have forward facing eyes, the lower ones need all round vision because other things get them too, case and point; birds. (with a lower chain example being chameleons)
ofcourse another case and point is that were structered to eat a full meat meal once a week.
(on a side note i had a vegan in my college class who was a strict vegan...who would eat fish and free range eggs  )
anyways, have you never heard a vegetable scream when you pull it out of the ground, boil it to death then tear it apart with your teeth?
yeah that was a good episode.

vegertariens, fine, your choice, vegans however get me "hurting animals is wrong, no matter how low they are!"
hmm okay, i'll be wiping you'll be removing your immune system to stop them annihalating germs then?
what about the bacterium in your stomach dying in droves to digest your food?
from theyre death we live, no matter what you do youre hurting something (heck, taking out an increased proportion of plants is wiping out our oxygen..) and if it werent for us genocidal meat eating nutters (got that one before) youd have some pretty nastay animals to be dealng with. (yeah, go on, offer the carrot to the big post-ice age mammoth)

Vegans are cool with me, people can eat what they want and all...I could pass as vegetarian as long as I could eat poultry and fish, but I must have a steady diet of cheeseburgers so I don't know how it would all turn out.

Don't you need certain nutrients and all from meat though that you don't get from vegetables.

There's nothing morally or biologically wrong with a balanced vegetarian/omnivorous/vegan lifestyle. There are enough foods in existance to give you the nutrients you need from day to day in whichever one you follow. It depends on YOU to do it though. I pretend to give people flack for being vegan (my good friend is, i just tease, she knows it) but I for a fact know more people who are omnivorous who are more unbalanced with their eating habits than vegans or vegetarians.

I don't even see why this is an issue.

PSST.

Vegetarians and vegan's don't only eat vegetables. There are other non-meat/dairy food groups.
