My last name is definately not common. It's pretty short, but nobody can pronounce it or spell it right. 
It really gets on my nerves. My friends tease me and pronounce my last name wrong on purpose. But they're lucky, they both have common names.

Mine's a C, and unfortunately an often mispronounced one. On class lists, I range from being the first to being the tenth.
But it's because there are so many Asians here with the super-common last name "Chan" or the Mandarin variant "Chen" (mine's neither). :P Also, whenever the school or a grade is split into last name sections, A-D has the smallest range of names but the largest amount of people. The remaining 22 letters of the alphabet get split into three more sections, 7 or 8 letters each, so that's saying something.

Mine's J., and usually I have to repeat it when telling people for the first time, most my friends say it's from my low voice.. Well, I say they can't hear

My last name starts with an M. I dont hear many people with my last name. Is Irish so i guess its cool.

My last name starts with an S. And my last name is also a common first name, so lots of people end up calling me by my last name because it sounds like it should be my first name.
I wish my grandmother's maiden name was my last name. Her maiden name is Fidduccia. That is such a freaking awesome last name.
