15th September - Annual Chocolate Ball!

The swankiest date in the Neopian calendar is here. The rich and famous from all of Neopia have gathered at the Chocolate Factory to experience the unveiling of some of the most luxurious chocolates around.

Well done alley_cat11. Your adventure - The Thief of Meridell, has just won this week's Neoadventure Spotlight award.
"I was just minding my own business, when somebody wearing a long coat came sauntering in. Well...not sauntering really. I can't explain the way they moved. They didn't appear to be taking steps of any kind... Anyways...that isn't what is important. So they played Potato counter, right? Well, and get ready for this...they got the right answer in under 5 seconds! Smart, huh? I bet a person like that could solve ANY quest."

Even if you weren't lucky enough to get tickets to the ball, you can still feel a part of it with this chocolatey Background.

Can you bean Myncha at Mootix Drop in this week's Better Than You contest?
Don't let your Neohome be left out, you can now give it a chocolatey touch with these new pieces of Furniture.

Congratulations jasmndaisy99. Your have just earned yourself a shiny Meridell Castle Spotlight trophy thanks to your level - Chambers of Terror .
This week's PPL award has been given to the Acko. Well done Echo, STego, Manny, Stegg, Orangmeister, Dinky, cocoa and all the others.

Arrrr.. thar be a new Pirate Cave Of The Week to test your wits, created by spider_wizz.
There are five new poems in the Gallery, some are chocolate themed, some are not so chocolatey :)
You can host your own Chocolate Ball in the comfort of your own home with one of these Chocolate Fountains.

A new Lenny Conundrum competition has begun. The answer to last week's was 22.38 metres. 930 people guessed the correct answer earning themselves 2,151 NP each.
There are some rather classy Shopkeepers for you to choose from featuring some of the best dressed guests at the Chocolate Ball.
If you own a Ruki or Skeith, they can now be transformed to amazing chocolate versions...

A new Random Contest has begun. Many thanks to everyone who sent in entries to last weeks.
Three more Petpets can be turned into chocolate versions...

If you want to know more about the Chocolate Ball, there is a Neopedia story about it.
There are some rather chocolatey images for you to look at in the new Art Gallery.

Congratulations Nanrini and sparkly_fairy_dust. You have just won the latest Site Spotlight award thanks to your page - Nanrini's Pink Palace.

Hooray for another completely random Random Contest!

I'll be you could enter "lol" and be in the running for a prize. I however was bored and entered this:

Huggles wrote:
There are precisely 85 rooms in the temple. Why are there so many? Well, unbeknownst to most Neopians, this legendary monument is the tomb of the notorious 44 Headed Mutant Hissi of Unpossibility. With 44 heads and one body, it has been scientifically proven unpossible for all heads to agree. However, with a 33 out of 44 majority, the Mutant Hissi of Unpossibility, was able to decide that each head have it's own tomb. It is significant to note that each head is mathematically challenged and unable to perform basic mathematical tasks such as addition, resulting in a Temple of 1000 Tombs with only 425 tombs being built for merely 44 heads.

I said the the tomb was full of rubies and that pyramibread represents the real tomb. Bakers of Sakhmet have been making pyramibread for so long that they have forgotten it's origins. But the first pyramibreads were made as a secret clue to the tomb's contents. The jelly inside is red like rubies.

I'm not too crazy about the Chocolate pets. They just look like a fancier brown to me.

I had nothing better to do either so I also entered the contest seeing as how it requires little to no effort this time:

Quote:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to Neopia has this to say about the Temple of 1,000 Tombs:

The Temple of 1,000 tombs is so named because it does not contain 1,000 tombs. It is located deep in the heart of the Lost Desert, so named because everybody has known exactly where it is for quite some time now. The actual number of tombs in the Temple can actually be considered zero, as the total number of anything, anywhere is always going to be zero when measured against the whole of infinity.

Nonetheless, many have attempted to map out the ruins, but those that aren't caught and digested by a shuffling mountain of purple protoplasm either lack the proper grammatical skills to communicate their findings or lack parental permission to communicate to begin with. Why they are even permitted, then, to run amok in moldy dungeons full of flying snakes is anyone's guess.

I love that, Scythe. :) My entry was something about the dictionary definition, which said that the word was related to "thumb", so I said the total number would be tombs plus thumbs.

Wow, that was great, Scythe! Sounded just like Douglas Adams, too. ^^
