For those who are not residents in the U.S, everything is going up in price. Gas, cars, Tv's, etc. Now we can ad video games to the list. With such an increase in graphic technology and the online-gaming scene, games might start to cost from $40-60 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

That's going to hurt my wallet, big time. And that makes me a sad samurai gamer :( What will we do?

I love the U.S., so I will just spend more money if prices go up (and ask more for my birthday :).) Videogame prices are high. When they reach the amount it cost to make and everything the price should go down.

The extra $10 (plus tax) won't really bother me that much. As long as I still have the money to pay for it, it doesn't really bother me that much (and I was expecting it).

What do you mean start to cost $40-$60? Lots of games already do.

My solution to this is to wait until the game or system has been out for awhile (I'd say as long as it takes to drop the price a bit) and then buy it. Or for just games, buying them second-hand.

Everyone expected it to happen, remember N64? Those games were $60, some $70, prices have actually fallen over 10 years. THe games are MUCH better now.

Dude, if you had to pay $60 for an N64 for game, you were being ripped off. What kind of games were for $60?

And this time, with the newer graphics, it could really happen. Seeing as they are really good/ realistic.

Oh I definetley remember the days of the $60 N64 games.
Actually I found an ad in a really old comic of mine saying that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (for Sega Geneis) was being sold starting at $70.

I'm a little annoyed in the prices of the games, but they will go down. (And most of them will be worth it.)

Funny, I don't remember ever seeing $60 N64 games. o_o I think the only game I ever saw that cost more than $50 was Pokemon Col. (I believe). Where do you live? o_0

I remember when Donkey Kong 64 or whatever was being sold for $70...

But yeah, video games already cost $40-60 dollars. No biggie. Just gotta make my parents buy 'em for me. ;P

Most games I play are rather old, so I download a rom version of them and play them on ZSNES. I have the actual games of some of the roms. MMX, Super Mario RPG, A Link to The Past.

What's ironic is that some of these games are so old that they cost more than the Super Nintendo itself.

He's right, for example let's take GTA:SA (Xbox) with a RRP of £39.99 that comes up to 72.9452 USD (Apparently, dont quote me on that) So quit complaining, even if they do push it up to $60 for the next generation games, think about how much more we brits will be paying.

You think you've got it bad? Come over to Australia, where new release games sell for up to $100, some even jumping over the $110 mark.

The biggest culprit here is EB Games as well. Last I checked, they're still selling GTA: San Andres for $99.95. And you think $60 is too much?
