Not so, Sly 2.

Every Platform Game has platforms to jump onto :P

In platform games, the platforms just magically float. No explanation(sp?) on how they do it, they just do!

I've always thought that about RPG's. It's pretty funny, they never seem to care. Except in Star Ocean 2 when someone catches you using the pickpocket skill on them, it's true for all games.

One day I want to make a game and go against all of these cliches. ^__^ Good luck to me. :P

I'm sure gamers'll be in for a suprise when they try to open chests in the house only to have the police show up and lock you up XD

Thats what happens in morrowind ;)

Fable as well. :) But for the most part, people don't care if you steal all of their stuff. XD

I do however know a game where you get guys to hunt you down if you try to take anything -.-. Balder's Gate. You walk into houses, some would complain, you try to take their stuff, you get "Someone has noticed you, the guards are coming" And they would try to kill you. They really pull the point of dont get caught stealing o_o.

But, as for the most part, you usually walk into other peoples houses with no problem at all.
But, just for the juice of it, heres a zelda parody on the walking uninvited into houses.

I've seen that before.

In Zelda DX, if you steal from this one shop(you take them item, make him look one way, then run out...) when you go in again he shoots a thunderbolt at Link, killing him. Then Link's names changes to THEIF.

Every RPG must have a spiky-haired hero with a sword, a passionate female healer, and a huge tough comrade with a heart of gold.

It Has Always Puzzled me As To How Link Goes So Long Without Eating In The Zelda Games??

Health can be restored by just finding a bed, clicking off the light, and playing a little tune for 3-7 seconds.

All the hard bosses you defeat always seem to come back stronger then ever...and you still whoop them-most of the time.

Hmmm.. my bad if these have been said..

Hero and the love interest start the story but OH NO! Come to find out the girl aka love interest is some chosen one by the evil people that will make them superduper evil and she gets kidnapped!

You have to fight the same mini boss numerous times throughout the game. We all know the type, the ones that run away or something and then come back to get revenge and blah blah etc.

Gotta kill the boss more than once. The weak version first, then the really evil version, then sometimes the ultra evil version.

There's always gotta be the big city with the king, queen, prince or princess who is actually either possessed by some evil mob or IS the evil mob.

And yeah... that's all I can think of for now.. haven't really played a regular game in a while.

Don't forget the mysterious female/male half-demon with an unknown, but angsty past.

HAHAHAHA! Final Fantasy 1 doesn't have genders! Fool!

*cough*LloydRaineRegal*cough*

All RECENT Namco games have Pac-Man in them...

Multi disc games are always long.

Plot twists always come at the end of cutscenes or boss battles or both.

RPGs involving catching monsters never have plots.

A cliche is, whenever you play a new military game, there is boot camp. DAMN IT, YOU HAVE OVERDONE IT, MEDAL OF HONOUR!
