Yang shook his head as he sat there looking at Tery she had no idea what was in store for her if she removed the protective covering of the amulet. He then looked down and pet his black rabbit as it kept looking at the girl he spoke to it. "Yes i know shes more of a fool then most my friend. She should take heed of your advice and not toy with it any further."

||Gah! Too much school, to little time to post!||

Tiryn scurried out of her cage as it was open, the serval following beside her. She noticed the cat give a menacing glare tot he man, and placed a warning hand on her head. They didn't need trouble....yet, and she'd kill herself before give anyone a reaosn to take the cat away. She'd been fairly lucky to keep the animal with her so long, and she wanted it to stay that way.

She marched in line behind the other slaves out to the boat, noticing the other Hafrid's spiritual guardians, one black hare in particular caught her eye.

((I'll try go slightly slower for everyone who is finding it hard to keep up ^^;))

Lery sat in the boat, not seeming to pay any attention to those around her. She was listening to two of the crew- they were probably the two scouts and had spoken to the caravan when they went on land.

"That route is blocked," Said the trader, in a strong Vsksou accent, "True as you live."
"I have heard so also, I have also heard that the Leryn ships will sail."
"My my, they have already sailed my friend. Two or three months ago-"
"You lie!" Butted in the second sailor.

Lery's mouth twitched, so her country was finally taking revenge upon these treasonous people. They went on,
"Several ships were sent to take the Pyn province."
"No! Pyn has many ships, enough to take out three or four scouts."
"If you remember, my friend, all individual units were called for in Vskcen. I am betting that is why we cannot travel the route, we would have stopped at Pyn before going onto High Palace."

But Lery couldn't hear any more as the boat began to move away, out of the corner of her eyes she saw the strange old Gayfyn woman muttering under her breath a strange incantation,
"Stupid Hafrids and their stupid religion." Lery whispered.

((Sorry guys, thats a lot of information in one post. But it moves the plot along slightly :D Silja, you can see where this ties in with your little sub-thingy and it opens up opertunitys, instead of stopping at Pyn, the long and perilous journey through the deserts is ahead, muahahaha, MAKE THEM SUFFER.....*cough* :P ))

He finally couldnt take the girls bad mouthin anymore an smacked her. "Snap out of it girl! You think jus cause your from Leryn your too good for the rest of us! Well let me tell ya something its not all pleasure and happiness where the rest of us come from! So get it through that thick skull of yours that your gonna be with us for quite some time! Otherwise I might jus let you take that gaurd off your precious lil amulet and see what will happen to you and beleive me you dont want to know what happens when you remove the gaurd."

Lery jumped backwards, clutching her cheek.
"Ah!" She cried, looking at the two men rowing, they didn't care though, why would they? She was a lesser mortal than a man, if she had hit Meiou they may have beat her.

Nursing her cheek with her hand, Lery blinked back tears of suprise, pain and fury.

((I just can't help, I am role-play cwazy :D And yes Shadow, pain and agony to the all!))

Isis noticed how the girl she had talked to earlier glared at the sailors standing not far from her. She seemed to have an awful lot of hate inside her Isis thought as she pulled a long piece of thin cloth down from her head and covered her face below her eyes with it. This was not a strange thing to do for any resident from Vsksou, living in such sandy landscapes made the people adapt to their situation. And besides, Isis had always though this gave that something extra to her face, making her mysterious and beautiful eyes stand out even more showing only the rest slightly through the cloth.

As the boat started moving from the main ship Isis could hear as Malak shouted to some of the sailors in the boat.

"Make sure the lady gets a camel, we don't want to harm out gift now do we?"

Some men replied to this with "Aye capn'!" while other laughed briefly. The laughter made Isis feel uncomfortable, as if they had something far more horrible planned for her than she had expected so far. Still she was grateful for the pleasant treatment she had gotten so far, no matter how awful her situation was looking from another angle.

She could now hear as the men were talking about the original route being blocked of and how they could not pass through the province of Pyn. Isis was far too aware of that this meant that they would have to cross through Vsksou's main desert. If they did not bring enough water or food many of the slaves would perish before they got to their destination, at least those who were not used to climates like this. She looked at everyone in the boat once more.

"They deserve so much more than this, slavery is a horrible thing." she thought with sadness.

At that moment a man sitting next to the girl she had talked to slapped her. Isis did not understand why but one thing was for sure, she did not accept this. Quickly she rose up and walked forward grabbing the man’s hand, one would be surprise to feel the strength she had, as she might seem a bit fragile and weak to the eye. Still she had no problem with this; martial arts were a part of her training back in the castle. Still holding the young mans arm steadily in her grip she spoke to him.

"I don't know why you felt it necessary to do such a thing, but it wasn't appreciated, neither by me nor this girl, keep yourself together." she said with a serious tone in her voice.

When her cage was opened, Halcin walked out, holding her Guardian close to her. At the sight of the water, once more she was tempted to get rid of the Amulet, but the thought of the Gods' displeasure stopped her. She stepped onto the smaller boat with the others, and then sat down quietly, listening to the conversation around her.

She heard the scouts talking of how the way was blocked, and that several ships were sent out to capture the Pyn province. None of this mattered to her, much, or at least she thought so. They also said something of Vskcen; but she could not hear that part.

She looked around, then, and once more noticed the Old Gafyn woman. She was muttering under her breath--probably asking the Gods for their forgiveness.

He merely eyed the girl who had taken hold of his hand. As his rabbit looked like it was ready to harm her for even touching Yang. "If youd been listening to her lately youd know why I did such a thing. But obviously you werent so ill explain.
One, She keeps badmouthing my people thinking hers are all high and mighty. Two, she keeps asking for trouble by meddling with things she couldnt even begin to comprahend and three she needed it anyways with that lack of common sense."

((go'darn it, your going to fast for me to post :x ))

Saint sat in a trance-like stare on the floor.
The Gayfyn was now sat back in the corner of the room he had came from.
His attention was disturbed when one of the crew members opened the hatch. he paid no attention to what he said, but it jolted him when the cell doors opened.
everyone was being led upstairs.

the sunlight was bright, and stung his eyes for a momnet. he held his arm over his eyes.
from what he could barely see, people were being loaded into a boat..
one of the sailor people gave him an eery look.
one of them snuck behind him and pushed him towards the boat
"ger' on there scum!" he shouted in his face..
not wanting to start some dooming fight with the sailor, he complied, and followed the rest of the prisoners into the boat.
he sat down near one of the edges, head towards the floor, chain around his neck with the amulet attached to it.

He didnt see what exactly happened, but he heard the sound of a slap, or something. his head remained down..

*he picked up the amulet, and was bewildered by it.. the more he stared at it, the more it seemed to lure him into a fake reality.
he shook his head, shking off the effect of the amulet, and kept on walking.
he arrived at the nearest market an hour later, people parting like the red sea just to let him through. after all, he was a knight.
He greeted some of the folk he had grown accostomed to meeting, such as Mary the Fruit stand attendant. She had a large red apple in her hand and an open palmed hand in the other.
"you never forget do you?" Saint said arrogantly to her
she smiled as he struggled in his suit to reach for the gold in his pocket.
he finnally got them, and handed her 4 pieces of shining coins.
she threw the apple into the air, and Saint rushed to catch it.
it fell into his palms and split into 4 sections..
"what th..."
the woman had hidden a dagger in her sleeve, she pulled it out, and lunged at him, climbing over the stand and crushing fruit under her feet..*

he was awoken from his memory by the creaking of the boat.. it seemed as if the creaking followed him..

{{i read the beginning post shadow, and me in a fight? im in a cage...:P}}

Blitz remained inside his cage for awhile. He was always a calm and patient sould, and never rushed into anything he didn't want to do. He was one of the last to step off the deck of the slave ship and into the slave boats.

He marveled at the site of open water, its wonders, its torments. His mouth agape and his eyes bulging, he absorbed the beautiful ocean scenery, slowly realizing that he was infact not in Gafyn anymore. His gaze was diminished as a guard hardly butted him with the blunt edge of his spear into staying in the boat, as he was unconciously leaning out more and more towards the vast ocean waters. He mumbled a menacing Gafyn curse under his breath, and reeled himself in, still staring at this newfound marvel.

*WHAP* He heard a deafining sound, and turned to one of the boats far to the right to observe what had occured. I slight skirmish had appeared between a slave girl and slave guy. The bitter quarrel seemed to last only a second as the guards quickly reprimended them, and tightened their shackles. "Hahahehahehahee!" Blitz chuckled after witnessing the event. He always liked a little mischief now and then, and he was known to laugh off most things, it comforted him.

He relaxed a little and made sure his luminous amber stone was secure. It was. A great relief sweaped over his mind and body, but he didn't know why, afterall it was just a simple rock. He examined the slaves a little more, trying to decipher their backgrounds, and soon got a very in-depth list of what he thought each one offered, and if they would still help with his plan. He had a wierd feeling about 5 of these people, although he didn't know why.

Tiryn was one of the only ones on the boat who had not yet drawn attention to herself. She sta with her legs curled beneath her in the least crowded are she could find, the serval curled up beside her, head on her lap. Her hands were shackled together in front of her, but loosely enough that she could lightly stroke the cat's head, resulting in a rumbling purr.

((Gahh! You all post too fast.... I'm sick today, so I'm staying home, yet you all still managed to post while I was sleeping :P ))

((Backtracking slightly))

Magnolia shrunk back from the water, her eyes glinted dangerously yet she didn't do anything. If she had not been a slave she would have probably injured the free girl, or insulted her. Back home she was renouned for her firey temper. But after being here for 5 months she had learned that having a temper did nothing for her, except maybe having less food as punishment.

She smirked when a Gayfyn boy slapped Lery, and when the free girl tried to stop him. Her slightly cheerful mood was reversed however, when she heard that they would be trekking through a harsh desert to get to their destination. If any of them tried to escape they would most likely perish in the desert, so that eliminated trying to escape anytime soon. The prospect of the heat of the desert didn't actually seem too bad however. She had always felt safe when it was warm, and even when it was cold she rarely felt it.

Magnolia was jolted out of her thoughts when Zelda cautiously jumped out of her lap, the kitten silently made her way over to another cat which was curled up near its owner's lap. Zelda mewwed softly and curiously looked at the girl. Magnolia blushed and got up, she grabbed the kitten and murmered a quick apology before sitting back down. "Naughty kitten," she scolded, "don't go exploring here, you might fall out." Zelda only curled up and began to purr in her lap, seemingly oblivious to their current whereabouts.

Tiryn dropped her stony mask for a moment as the kitten crept near the sleepy Trys (I finally named her :P), mewling curiously. She eased herself forward, reaching out her shackled hands to pet the kitten, but it was snatched away by the owner, an older girl, clearly a slave like herself. She quickly withdrew her hands, embarrassed and angry at herself. She feigned indifference, however, returning to scratching lightly behind Trys's ears.

((Sowee Knives,I meant Saints :P
And, I'll try not post as much for everyone who is falling behind ^^;))

Lery sat, scowling. It was just adding insult to injury when that free-girl scolded that wretched man, was it not enough for her to get hurt? She had to be humiliated aswell.

Lery sighed, she had lived in the southern part of Leryn for the later years of her life, which was almost as deserty as Vsksou (whereas she had lived in the tropical forests until the age of about 14). Even then, the thick sticky air was hard to breath, and the sun bore down harshly on her already blackened skin.

It wasn't long before the boat ground a halt against the sandy beach, and the slaves were unloaded. They were chained in the most peculiar fashion, each with hand-cuffs, then a longer chain to the next persons handcuffs, so neither could stray from the either.

Wed Oct 13, 2004 10:21 am

Magnolia was jolted from her daydreaming when the boat hit the sand. Zelda growled low in her throat and Magnolia calmed her with a quick stroke from her hand. Pulling the kitten into the folds of her blanket she stepped out of the boat and began the trek up the beach to the vast desert. Her mind began to work quickly, the other slaves and herself were chained together in a row, and a guard held the end on either side. However, if she could speak with the others they could all run forward at the same moment. From there they could free the chains from the startled guards.... but where would they go? There was nothing but desert out here. Desert's better than slavery...
