One category had a few bands I have never heard or seen (Breakthrough Video).

I really think that's the whole point.. being breakthrough and all.

Winners

As stated before, the winners were the same (Usher, No Doubt). However one thing really bothered me, The Best Rock Video winner. Honestly, how is Jet's video the "best" out of all those nominees?!

I was fairly dissapointed as well.

Were honeslty, very well done. Alicia Keys/Stevie Wonder/Lenny Kravitz had a wonderful performance. Although Hoobastank was a little...bad.

Haha, me and my friend were laughing during Hoobastank's performance. It was slightly MORE than a LITTLE bad.

I'm not only ranting about how bad this show was (although it may seem that way) because I truly liked it. Besides the nominations and repetitive winners, I thought it was amazing. So many memorable performances and many cool celebrities.

Plus that thing with Usher's face on the pieces of cardboard or w/e was kinda creative.

But all in all, I found it boring as far as award shows go. Usualy funny unplanned things happened but this seemed to go off almost without a hitch. Perfect is boring!

I didn't watch it, but saw the list of winners(together with the nominees) and The White Stripes didn't win anything at all. I think they were nominated twice or thrice.

The MTV2 award was pretty clear-cut.

And I wished Need for Speed Underground won the best video game soundtrack.

Lastly, Linkin Park won the viewer's choice! Woot!

Awww, I missed FF's award. The whole show seemed kinda boring to me, minus a few notable performances. Loved the Jet/Hoobastank/Yellowcard one, 'cept Doug Robb couldn't hit those high notes just like in the MMVAs (Muchmusic in Canada).
