Faerie Quest
Faerie Quests are given out as Random Events. If you get one, you are lucky, as most only get one a week or so. In the earlier days of Neopets, they were given on request, but this system was replaced with the random event method, presumably because some users were abusing the privilege.
These quests are given out by Uber Faeries, extra powerful versions of the basic Faeries. Uber Faeries ask users to retrieve items for them and in return they give a random one of the user's pets a certain stat-related reward, the exception being the Earth Faerie's quest, the reward for which is not stat-related. Unlike similar quests, such as the Esophagor's or Jhudora's, one cannot use the shop wizard while on one, but to compensate, there are no time limits.
As the shop wizard cannot be used while on a faerie quest, it can make them a nusiance for people who do not wish to, or cannot, complete them. If a user does not wish to do a quest, they can refuse it at the Faerie Quest HQ, but this reduces the liklyhood of getting a new quest for some time afterwards (one must vist the faerie quest page again after ten minutes to make oneself eledgable again). To complete a quest, one must go to the HQ with the requested item in the user's inventory and click the form button to hand the item over.
Earth Faerie Quests are usually considered not worth the expense, as she ask for magic items, which are usually very expensive, and in return feeds one's pets, which is a low-cost activity.
Quest Items
Each of the six Uber Faeries asks for a random item of a certain type. Below is a list of each Uber Faerie, what types of items they ask for, and which stat they improve.
- Fire Faerie: Asks for Clothes, Raises Strength.
- Light Faerie: Asks for Trading Cards, Raises Level.
- Earth Faerie: Asks for Magical Items, Feeds all Pets and Heals all pets to full Health.
- Air Faerie: Asks for Beauty Products, Raises Speed.
- Dark Faerie: Asks for Toys, Raises HP.
- Water Faerie: Asks for Books, Raises Defence.
Three other faeries also ask for items on rare occasions. They are:
- Faerie Queen: Asks for random item, raises all stats.
- Space Faerie: Asks for random item, raises level by 4.
- Fountain Faerie: Asks for random item, gives one a single use of the Rainbow Fountain.
Other Faeries' Quests
While Jhudora and Illusen are both Faeries who request items, their quests are not of this type: they have a time limit, the shop wizard can be used, they must be requested, they cannot be given out more than once a day, and their rewards are part of a fixed set of items. It should also be noted that Jhudora and Illusen are basic Faeries.
