An Arkmite
The Arkmite is a Maraquan Petpet resembling a hammerhead shark. They were discovered by Talek who trained them to be loyal guard fish. Arkmites were released on June 10, 2005.

As of June 2009, the Arkmite can come in 8 different colours:

- The Christmas Arkmite was an Advent Calendar item and cannot be painted, nor can other Arkmites be painted Christmas.
- A snot version of the Arkmite can be found in Neopets' image database.
- The Arkmite won the Petpet Protection League award in Week 184.
