Look, TNT runs a virtual pets site with over 50 million users. There's only like 70 staff members. I'm already suprised that they can handle so many of us with so little of them.

I like pickles, I like cheese, I like climbing lobster trees!

That depends on what you mean with "handle". They can't really 'handle' all the users.

Many small sites handle large groups of people with a small staff. Plus, this has hardly been an overnight thing. They've had plenty of time to hire all the staff they need. If you're trying to get a sympathy vote for them being overworked due to their poor planning, its not going to work.

Poof. Gone. Why? Because they can. Make it stop.

Look, there obviously was a reason. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding, but THERE IS A REASON. That's a huge misconception with many people, but there ALWAYS is a reason.

Thank you, Coming for finding the words for what I wanted to say! They've had more than enough time to hire the help they need.. but they won't or can't, due entirely to the lack of proper management by the higher ups. No, I'm not angry at the poor artist nor even really the good support personel that are doing the best they can.. I'm ticked at the "suits", the executives who have forgotten the one main ingredient for a successful site.. Staff!

Neobuks.. Firstly, yeah, they've done loads of "wrongful" freezings. I'm one of them. Starting a classaction lawsuit against a corporation isn't going to work, when the evidence you present is soully based on personal feelings. Seondly, posting like this isn't helping your cause, because all you are doing is annoying people into taking the exact opposite route from you. Stop and rethink what you are trying to achieve and then post again.

Amazing what one can come up with when one is given a cardboard box and a roll of duct-tape!

I doubt seriously Neo would shut down or even stoop to becoming a pay-to-play website but anyways thats just my opinion because I believe Adam and Donna seriously know that going to pay-to-playy would lower their numbers to more than managable.

Stop talking in crazy poems.... o_O

Anyways, trying to bash the Neopets staff on a site where everyone goes to Neopets is a bad idea for one, but secondly...

They mentioned a number of times how people can report you and lie on the neoboards and guilds, sometimes its a mistake and stuff, you can actually send a forum to get it back and everything, but you just want to sit and complain.

Just...seriously....you should stop complaining.... >_< They did it for a reason, but just cause you don't know it doesn't mean they are out trying ot kill your for gods sakes.

Neopets needs to be shut down.
It's no longer the community we all deserve.
It's just a money churning ad cruncher.
If you even talk about blocking one dollar your ice.

I really don't think you should insult Neopets on a Neopets fansite.

Not the smartest thing, buddy.

Really???

Because I routinely insult Neopets. And enjoy it too. :D

He's pointing out a genuine problem that there is a lack of realtionship between users and staff. He is saying that this is because they are favouring excessive marketing and milking their product until it becomes so diluted it is unrecognizable.

I don't see where the problem lies.

The problem is the way he said it. It puts most people in defence mode.

I don't agree with him though. There really aren't that many ads for sponsers, especially compared to everything else that's on neopets.
And while I do think they need to focus less on merchindise, I don't want them to shut down.

Oh yes, TNT forced you to play their site, and they forced you to spend lots of time on it, and then one day they decided to freeze your account just for fun without any reason at all.

I don't think it works that way. They never forced you to do anything. And they did have a reason, even if it wasn't valid. \

I can understand that you're upset, but I don't understand why you want neopets to be shut down. Is it because they ended your happiness so now you want everyone else's happiness to be over too?

okay, its 4am, im in a stinky mood (why does the internet keep errorising on me? :x ) and im a wee bit tipsy so bear that in mind.
there are 81,137,662 users.
thats 81,137,662 seperate user files to maintain (well..) and scan for proffanity, etc.
there are 118,205,897 neopets.
thats 118,205,897 neopets to maintain and scan agian for proffanity etc etc.
then we have the items that have to be drawn, maintained (making sure they do what theyre supposed to) an such forth.
YOU make a website that relies only on advertising for maintainence costs, YOU keep it working relatively well, YOU draw, program etc all those items/pets/training/plots/shops THEN and only THEN can you complain.
until they drag you kicking and screaming into paying for the site (havent yet, the payed parts arent necisary are they? a similar thing happened with portent, in order to stay affloat they added a payer system, and gave those who paid, access to special parts of the site, that werent even there before) you CANNOT (but will im sure) complain.

Who cares? They try their hardest, give them a break. Teachers can barely handle 15 students in my school, but 65 people to 20 million? It's crazy. Just relax and stop complaining, it's a game.

It might be possible that those teachers are incompetent.
Yes, there is no way 65 people can handle 20 million. But the staff can hire more staff.
