Day 1: Unis Clothing Shop You find a stash of Neggs hidden among the clothes!
After Kari picks them up, Ellia smiles and hands her a note.
"Huh, this is strange... it's addressed to me and the festival goers. Be sure to read it before picking which Negg you'd like!"
The note reads:
"Don't bother looking for the Neggs where the other shopkeepers helped you hide them. I have them now! More info to come soon. "

Day 2: Cog's Togs
You find the stash of Neggs underneath a few cogs!
Kari quickly picks them up. "We solved it! It's fun being on the other side of this with you. But don't worry, you can still pick whichever Negg you would like!"
There's a note with the Neggs:
"Did you know that the Petpet known as the Tuffala was first discovered nearby underneath the Moltara Obsidian Co. building?"

Day 3: The Robo-Petpet Shop
Mixed in with a fleet of GX-4 Oscillabots is the stash of Neggs!
Kari carefully grabs the Neggs. "I wish I had time to visit this shop more often. Luckily, finding Neggs is the perfect excuse to stop by! Speaking of, which Negg would you like?"
There's a note with the Neggs:
"Mira, the Space Faerie, adopted her very own Bython while on board the Virtupets Space Station!"

Day 4: Grave Danger
You dig up the Negg stash from under a pile of loose dirt!
Kari brushes off the Neggs. "Oh, thank goodness these didn't get eaten here! Go ahead and choose which one you would like."

"Professor Josh Kugar discovered a new Petpet species, the Talpidat, in a nearby crypt in Y24! Even though they eat Neggs, there are now two who live at the Neggery full-time!"

Day 5: Healing Springs
Marina is holding the Negg stash out as you approach.
With a smile, Kari takes the Neggs. "Thanks for keeping these safe. While the festival goer chooses their Negg, you wouldn't by chance be willing to tell me who gave you these? No? Didn't think so."

Kari:Hello. I'm glad to see so many festival goers this year. I know things have been hectic around Neopia, but seeing everyone gather for celebrations such as this warms my heart.
I do have to apologise, though. With Orion in his current state and Mira out in space, I wasn't able to go as big for this year's festivities as I would have liked.
However, thanks to many kind shopkeepers who volunteered to help out, all the Neggs were created and hidden just in time.
So with that, let the Festival of Neggs begin. Visit me again when you're ready for your first clue.

Scene 2
Kari: I'm sorry, I know this isn't what you signed up for when joining the festival, but it looks like we have mystery on our hands! Another note from the peculiar thief was left here.
It reads: "No need to worry, no need to fear. The Neggs are all quite safe here! I'll leave you a clue each day so that you too can join in the play! And for those quite smart, that solve them as quick as a dart, remember that for every phrase I turn, there is a bigger pattern! Can you guess who I am before the event ends and I have to scram?"
Hmm, that's odd... Well, the next clue is on the back of the note. So when you're ready, we can try and solve it together. How fun.

Scene 3
Kari: I have to admit, I was slightly worried at first about all this. Since I wasn't able to plan too much for this year's festival, I was touched when so many shopkeepers volunteered to hide Neggs for me. When I realised someone had ruined those plans, I felt so bad for all those who helped me.
But I'm starting to suspect they were in on this from the start, which is making me really excited to find out who is behind all this.
So far, all I can tell is that it has to be somebody who's been paying close attention to my most recent adventures...

Similar to last year, you don't get a separate NC negg to do something to; they're all available automatically. There are three different neggs you can can buy dye kits for: ?????. You can buy the kits individually for 650NC, or all three for 1500NC (savings of 450NC). Kits will be available to use until next year's event start, but are only on sale through May 11, 2022. Alternatively, you can buy a single dye kit that will allow you to get a single prize from your chosen negg. (I believe you're able to pick which item, just not the bonus item.)

I have lots of feelings about the items available and the items that were rereleased. Overall, I was hoping for some fun stuff...but I'm generally disappointed. There are literally no new actual negg items that have been found so far for the daily negg prizes. Maybe they'll at least throw us negg collectors a bone and give us the set of neggs as final prizes? At least then I'll be able to add SOMETHING to my gallery this year. And they've devalued 4 items in my gallery...as if that hasn't taken a hit enough in the last year with all the once-expensive neggs that are now worth nothing. Oh, and the NC portion looks like it had only one negg-related item...the completion bonus gift box, which of course, I can't trade for. Sigh. Don't mind me. I'm just grumpy because my usually favorite event of the year is not looking as exciting as it could've been.

Not super excited about Neggfest right now, either. To be honest, not terribly excited about much of anything right now. Too much to do, not enough time or desire to do them. Neggfest is "one more thing on the pile of things to do", even though it is only a few minutes each day for a while. Forced myself to go out late last night and do something lingering before others messed it up before I could get to it. This is after finding a "whaaaat? What. Happened. Here.?" situation and then trying to get info as to what happened, why it happened and how we got to where we are.... Mission accomplished. Felt good, but now rather tired because I did not want to hit the hay for a couple hours after I got back home.
