Win a Circuit Negg, or... someone else could have won it in the few times they actually played VoidWorks... ;)

I went ahead and gave Tavi Tea Time another chance. Whipped through the first 4 at reasonable prices. The highest was ~12k and the rest were each under 2k. Then *bam* the next 2 were too high 50k & 250k and skipped both. Then, the last one was 14k, so I went ahead and finished up 5 in just a few minutes :)

Stinker! :P Seriously, though, thank you. It's in my gallery now, sorted to where it belongs. (Which motivated me to actually sort the other 7 items I've had sitting in there unsorted, too.)

I only completed 1 Tavi quest today because the rest were too expensive and my two rerolls didn't get any better. I will definitely be skipping these over the break. Since I have the avvie, I have no reason to continue doing them. Campfire, I'll play for a chance at those stamps. Plus, it's fast and easy. Voidworks, I'll still play, because I actually enjoy playing it and the music is fun.

I never got another successful quest yesterday, but I did get 100 points for the hospital shifts that finished overnight (before midnight NST, while I was sleeping). And according to JN's checklist, Tavi is still giving out plot points.

That's the one activity I hoped would be paused the most, so I really hope that happens soon. I seem to have the worst luck with it. Then again, I reject anything over 10k, because more than half the time, I win that useless red kyrigi plushie.

So I have to gamble on how much I think each extra five PP will be worth. As long as I can afford the high NP/PP prizes, it should be cheaper to buy anything else I want -- and there will be a decent amount I won't care about. Plus my time and enjoyment are worth a lot to me.

(But yesterday and the day before, everything I rejected was worth over 200k, so it's also just really bad luck. TNT still needs to tweak these quests and remove more high value items and add stuff we have hundreds of in our SDBs, especially if they're going to keep giving out PP for them.)

Edit: I have an extra 200 PP than I should, and everything matched after my last round of volunteering yesterday. I have no idea where they came from! Anyone else?

I checked my uncompleted tasks, and I suddenly see a barracks battle from January 1. Maybe JN accidentally changed one of the battle tasks and changed the date to before the plot started? But no, that can't be it, because I'm at 59288, which is definitely 200 more than I should be if all I got was 5 points for Tavi and 100 points for volunteering (which is what the pop-up said I got). Were there extra points somewhere that I missed?

I love the new "complete all hospital shifts" button. That should be sticking around once the break ends, from what I understand.

I have been tracking meticulously with JN's tracker and had confirmed everything was lined up before I went to bed last night, and I was also up 200 points after collecting the leftover shifts. When Mr. P went to complete his leftover hospital shifts, I had him check before and after - they awarded 300 points instead of only 100. So...that's probably where the extra 200 came in. Other people have reported the same thing, as well.

I hope Tavi stops awarding plot points soon. Probably tomorrow, when the pause officially starts. I've had no cheap quests today and I've already blown both of my rerolls.

You're welcome :)

Good thing I completed my hospital shifts earlier this morning.

Just now:
Quote:
Without their constant attacks, we’ve been able to catch up to the influx of patients. We may need more help if things pick up again, so be sure to check back in soon!

So... What happens with the 5 pets actively working?

ETA: The aforementioned End All Shifts button completed their shifts and I got full credit for their ~1-1/2 hour shifts.

I'm having no luck with Tavi since my first quest of the day.

Thanks for the info on where the extra points came from. I went ahead and added them to the volunteer extra shifts so my points reconcile on the checklist.

I did a bit of research, and except for the obelisk opponents (and apparently the premium arena), all 1p regular opponents give the same NP -- 300 on hard. So you'd need to do 167 battles/day to hit the cap. Or you could spend that time playing games or restocking and make far more NP. Or just live your life and not try to make that many NP per day, because dailies are already giving you more than you're spending on stuff.

This is not 100% accurate. I just put it in the post in the main thread, but here it is again - the current best NP drops:
Tekkitu the Witch Doctor hard - 750nps
Evil Sloth Clone hard -600nps
Giant Hungry Malevolent Chomby hard - 1500 nps

So...67 battles against Tekkitu. Or less if you battle someone else for the drops first (which would be recommended). Either way, it's still a far cry from maxing out as quickly with the plot challengers, for sure.

I got one Tavi quest in, but once again waiting for another 4 hours. The 20 plot points I'm missing today won't be the end of the world, I'm sure. :P

I have one more shot at Tavi before bedtime. Maybe I'll get lucky and get several easy ones in a row.

I should sell some of the stuff I have that's still overpriced... But that takes a ton of research and time I don't have. It's not something I can multitask with physical therapy.

Visiting the page today will cause this to pop up:
Quote:
Announcement!
Hello Neopians,
We are instituting a plot interval between Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 so that we can implement improvements based on your feedback and deliver a better user experience.

We are so grateful for all the excitement and feedback we've received throughout the duration of the Void Within plot so far. Thank each and every one of you for your participation and investment.

As we balance plot development while implementing improvements based on feedback and continue to develop ongoing events, we have decided to take a brief pause from updating the plot. This interval is to give our team time to restructure plot design and functionality, so we can deliver an improved user experience.

During this time, plot-related activities will be temporarily stopped (void point collection, battles, volunteering, comic releases, achievements, etc.). This interval is not an indefinite hiatus, as we will resume with Episode 2 of the plot shortly after the holiday season (and will continue to have plot tie-ins through holiday events such as the Advent Calendar). To learn more about what this break will look like, check out the FAQs here!

Don’t worry, you will be able to finish your plot goals, face more challenging BD opponents, and see the rest of the adventure unfold once the plot resumes!
~The Neopets Team

I'll Come Back Soon...
The main screen displays the following message:
Quote:
Nyx and the gang are travelling through the Haunted Woods while forces on both sides of the conflict regroup. Check back soon when the adventure resumes!
The rewards page is missing the achievements section, and this shows instead:
Quote:
Achievements will be available to earn once the plot resumes. Check back later!

I confirmed that the games are still working and giving out prizes, etc, and that completing a Tavi quest still awards NPs and a prize but no plot points at this time.
Time to settle in for the break...

Yes, I had confirmed the games were working but was waiting to double-check the quests.

Quest four is still too expensive: the disturbing Bonfire Play Set.

I'm not setting timers for them, but I'll at least run through a few in the mornings until I've used up all my abandonings. And I actually enjoy the other two games.

It's nice to have the break. It'd be fun to have new REs show up where we randomly run into the adventurers (even if it's just a "whoa, thanks for the support"). But TNT is probably a little busy for that.

Edit: I just checked Tavi's prize pool. There is no point in continuing unless it's changed. There are a handful of books or wearables, but it's cheaper to just buy them off the SW if you haven't already.

Which means I can try my hand at kitchen quests, maybe. But for now, I'm taking a week off quests entirely (unless I get a faerie quest, of course).

Somehow my "Neo" computer will now load Voidworks. It's very slow, but it works. Cosy Campfire seems to have slowed down too. I need to be very deliberate on my clicks, hover longer over an item and not "overclick" and things are good. Somehow yesterday, none of the needed items were covered and I finished it in 10 seconds. Good enough for sliver ;)

No Tavi Tea for me. Nope. Not worth it then for plot points, definitely not worth it now.
