Well I think they mean Thursday Neopets time. Which is California time. Right now it is 10:00 p.m NST. Do you think they would close the polls right at midnight? That guves people 2 more hours.
I'm sorry though, I know the gag is supposed to be funny, but did they not learn from the Gelert poll? The gag won, and instead of getting 1 of 3 good designs, they had to mix the 2 runner ups to get a kind of boring design.

Moogum, exactly! That is my "beef" with the poll and voting, and all the people voting for number 3 and laughing. I think it'll mess up what the majority of people DO want to see.
Now my friend and I disagree. She came over and is staying for a couple of days probably -- we had another huge storm and her apartment ceiling sprung a few leaks
. But she got to log in, see the kougras and vote. After she logged out, she told me she voted for #4. I of course voted for #1...all the old Kougra (and most revamped pets IMHO) need is some shading and a little "tweaking" here and there. We created or adopted our pets because we liked the way they look, not to have them changed into something that looks so different.
But if #1 doesn't get the nod, I would be happy with #4. Just not 2 or 6 please! #5 is a little weird, the way the eyes just O_O stare at you.

You know what would be funny? If #3 isn't a joke and it wins and we end up with some guy in a kougra fursuit. That would be hilarious. I'd create 3 and name them all variations of the name Hector (h3ckt0r, heckt0re, haickt00r)

But that was because they looked good back then. You can't deny now that the Kougra, even the "revised original" (#1) looks at all like the current style Neopets are drawn in. Even if you don't like that style, you have to face that it IS the style they are using now, and to keep the Kougra stagnent would be unfair. I really don't want my pets to have the theme song "One of these things is not like the other".
And if you think Number 5 has weird eyes, how can you like number 1? Look into it's eyes! Look into them! They are creepy as heck!

I voted for #4. I kind of like number #6's body pose though, but something about the face looks wrong. It is a cute face, but it's different.
I really like #4's pose, kind of a proud sitting up pose and you can see more of the legs. If they made it smile less and have a more proud look or even a sort of annoyed look, that would be better. In my mind kougras smile, but they still manage to look cool even when they smile. I don't like #1 because it is too much like the old kougra. I mean, I love the face and the shading but I never did like how you just see two big paws and a head. I mean, it looks like a head with paws...
The rest, like #2 is too cute and #5 has a very strange expression...almost like someone is taking it's temperature the old fashioned way...

If they put the #1 head on the #4 body I think it would be nearly perfect. I love the old style head and I like the #4 pose. I think some claws on that would be nice too. And maybe if the Kougra was less sleek looking. I mean, I think it sould have have some furrier places instead of all rounded lines. They should have some jagged lines around the neck and places to show it is more furry.
