Negg Hunt


Welcome! The time has come to celebrate Neopia's greatest creation... Neggs! As part of the festivities, Neopia's lands have been covered with all sorts of delightfully decorated plastic Neggs - swirly Neggs, Neggs with stripes... even Neggs with polka dots and plaid patterns on them! It's now up to you to get out there and find them. There's a Negg-themed prize that everyone who participates will receive if the Community Challenge's goal of finding five million Neggs is reached, so grab a basket and go!

* Over the next 16 days, you will get to hunt for 1 decorated negg after Kari gives you a clue where to look.

* There are 4 types of decorated neggs and when you have found all 4 in the set, you get to choose a prize from 4 items shown.

* A Community Challenge is also available. Find a plain plastic negg and return to Kari to add to the total found.
If 5 million neggs are found, a special prize is awarded to all who participated.

* You can find more than 1 plain plastic negg in one day, just clicking through the site is enough to find them.

Striped Neggs:

As one might imagine, the most prominent of these booths is the one set up by Kari, the Negg Faerie. Such lofty expectations do not come without great responsibility, however...

NOTE: NC quests are optional and are not required for the completion of the quest. You are not penalised for not doing the NC quests.

This again? *groans* At least it's not Rosie...

I spend 400 NC on my dream pet, so I only have 25 NC, hardly enough to spend on a quest. I will spend NC for pets, but for site events? Nope.

As always, the NC part of the quest is optional and does not have to be done to complete the whole quest.

Just do the normal negg quests and you will be fine.

These quests are kind of pointless. "Click in random places and get free wearables!" Of course I'm still doing them, but there's no challenge involved (even if you don't use a guide).

I'm sort of glad they're that simple. I don't have a lot of time lately, so these are good.. yet pointless. Why not just "click here for a negg"? It'd save me a few clicks

Does anyone else have problems playing Top Chop? It doesn't work for me.

I just played Top Chop a few minutes ago. Try again. If not, refresh, or use a different browser.

I wonder if we're in the same boat. I've had trouble with Top Chop since Daily Dare; it goes through the loading screen and then just turns white. Doesn't work in any of my browsers. I'm using Mac OS X, but no one else can duplicate the problem. I filed a ticket, which TNT closed without doing much.

So I used a different computer. That sorted out my problem.

I really dislike how they reduced the number of NP quests this year and added a second NC event.

This part is just a mini quest, the actual Negg Quest starts on the 20th. As it states in the FAQs on the main Festival page.


As to the NC part, that is here to stay for all events, big or small.

People may not like them and people may not ever buy NC, and that is fine because it doesn't interfere with the event in any way.

Some people (like me, just recently) has spent a little money on NC and enjoy doing it. Either way, the actual event still happens with or without NC.

Yay! An individualized little step where we actually had to do some work for the quest... it's almost as if TNT had read my earlier post. Though I'm not sure the order mattered much beyond the first three -- after I got those three correct, I either guessed the next 5's order correctly my first try, or it didn't matter. Probability says it more likely didn't matter, but I guess that depends on whether others had the same success.

You got lucky. The order mattered for all 8 Slugawoos. Lots of clicking for me. When it was down to the last two, I had a 50/50 shot to finish... and got the order wrong on the last two, so I had to click through them all again.

However, I did get lucky by clicking #1 Slugawoo on my first try

I love these type of steps, but I did start to panic when I saw it, as I was rushing so I could finish before I started work and thought it was going to be harder than what it was.

But it was nice and easy, once I got my first two, the rest took a few tries each.
Nothing brain-melting, but steps that are individualised are so much better than simply clicking to win.

I am so paranoid about missing out on any bonus (if TNT decide to do one), I do the steps as fast as possible and before the new day, (which starts while I am at work).

Do you think they will release the avatar again?

Also, did anyone notice that Kari has her dress on differently than last year? Her dress this year is backwards.
